Resort, activities and staff were very good. (Rating reflects that). Kids did a sailing course and loved it despite being nervous and conditions being tricky. The spa was excellent also. The hotel was different to expectations in the sense that only a portion was reserved for Mw and there were other local guests staying. It was fine but it then seemed odd that prices were listed in £ (drinks, even local beer and wine was very overpriced). Water should also be free and at meals it was but we were stopped on a couple of occasions from taking what remained of the water bottle out of the restaurants.
BUT
The pre-holiday booking and communications process left much to be desired and would be 1 star. Flights were changed after booking by MW in terms of timing very materially (by 7 hours) meaning we were in that situation I was trying to avoid of arriving very late into resort and then having to check out and having the best part of a day to kill before leaving for airport on the return journey. Flights were easyJet which was fine and probably much easier to manage seats etc ourselves than regular charters but I could just as easily booked them myself.
Communication from MW pre holiday was repeatedly incorrect though. Received wrong / contradictory flight booking references, obviously incorrect information (given flights were easyJet) in terms of redirection to wrong 3rd party website for seat selection etc and then, the day before travel, clearly incorrect information on briefings occurring in resort on the day of our arrival (we weren’t ever going to get to resort until 10pm best case). In the event the briefings were next morning and the sailing course i had booked started a day later than communicated. The comms clearly were all set up for the original planned timings and were not adjusted.
I’d then booked a private transfer through MW but on arrival at destination airport I was asked to wait with coach passengers and somebody would come and point us towards the car. They didn’t and only after coach passengers were led away did someone try and call for the transfer car. Whole point of private transfer is to be met at arrivals and head off straightaway: The car was fine when it arrived but we arrived at resort after the coach… the return private transfer worked well though.
Overall I feel like I’d go to the resort again probably but woild prefer to take care of travel myself. - i feel Mw made logistics more complicated and not less than just organising it yourself.

overall very good, one significant exception. please spend some money on bikes, not many pumps available and no puncture repair kits. this meant taking a mountain bike out off road sometimes with no phone signal in the area. At risk of being stuck in the heat for a lengthy period of time. on a positive note the bikes were well maintained, staff were helpful.
Last year i was at the Paleros resort, similar picture in minor cost cutting, several bikes not available as they had punctures ( staff complaining they couldn't buy inner tubes)
it does seem someone senior is saving a small amount of money which has potential to put someone at risk or last year to turn up in cycling kit and be told no bikes available yet there could be 5 on the rack

The holiday was excellent. The accommodation was spotless and the food had plenty of variety. I have only a couple of suggestions: The pickleball courts were not fit for purpose. I don't think you should advertise it on your website. The court was not marked out and the surface was rutted. The road bikes need updating, as 4 years old and only Mechanical disc brakes.. The staff were excellent. A special mention to James on sailing. What a friendly, knowledgeable young lad. He has loads of patience and his teaching is second to none. Mandy the manager was also friendly and approachable.

Superb place with something everyone can enjoy. The childcare was phenomenal, food was great and our room was ideal. The local airport wasn't the greatest (long queues) but that, I should imagine, is out of Mark Warners control.

Our recent holiday at the Paleros Beach resort was excellent. All staff were great, sporting activities (especially cycling) brilliant, and food good every day.
This would have been a 5 star review unfortunately the experience at Preveza Airport on both arrival and departure was very poor (too many flights, insufficient staff numbers) and this was without the new entry/exit system in place!!

My first holiday on my own. Had a fabulous time and felt really welcomed. Staff were brilliant especially Harry with Padel and entertainment.
Great spacious room. Lovely planting in the gardens. Lovely restaurant with social table so met some really nice people.
Fab all round.
Only negative was that there were not enough sunbeds at the adult pool.

Excellent holiday. In particular the staff and food were very good. We liked the fact that kit was prepared ready for launch by the beach team. Lesvos is a lovely island too.
Only one small negative, that many of us felt the the beach team was overly cautious when it came to allowing people out on the water. Advice about conditions is one thing, but this was a bit restrictive (also no one could remember the correct sequence of red/blue and blue/red flags!)
One member of staff said 'we don't want to have to rescue you'. Firstly I don't think he would have said that to a man, and secondly, it seemed fine for (men) wingfoiling to be 'rescued' very frequently without any scolding. Surely the 'rescue' boats (such as they are) are there to provide support such that we can be a little bit more adverturous that would be the case without them. Most of us that week were- let's say mature- and had learnt to sail decades ago, so sensible and unlikely to take too many risks (think: it's your mum or dad here sailing). Perhaps a quick chat with the guest and an understanding of their ability and experience would be helpful, rather than a blanket policy.
Anyway, it was a good holiday, and we will probably return.

Lovely friendly resort that is in peaceful location. Short cycle ride to a beautiful town. There was lots of variety of boats all in good condition and the week we were there ideal conditions. The bar and restaurant are next to each other with wonderful sea views so it is very sociable. Negatives drinks are expensive and hotel a bit tired (especially pickle ball court) but all worked and good air conditioning in the rooms.
