Join one of our Dinghy Sailing Weeks, perfect for anyone keen on a bit of racing fun - whether you’re looking to learn, improve, or just enjoy the thrill. Expect a mix of dinghy and multihull racing, race tuition, clinics, and on-water feedback to help boost your skills.

All levels welcome – from complete beginners to seasoned sailors. New to racing? We’ll introduce techniques, tactics, and rules in a simple, enjoyable way. Experienced sailors can focus on boat handling, tactics, and rig tuning to improve their fleet performance.

Expert guidance – Charlie Falconer, our Sports Manager, leads a team of instructors ready to help both on the beach and the water, giving hints, tips, and plenty of encouragement in a safe, fun environment.

When Is the Best Month to Holiday in Turkey?

Turkey enjoys long, sunny summers and mild shoulder seasons, so you’re spoiled for choice. If you love warm seas and guaranteed sunshine, June through September is perfect - with long days, lively resort atmospheres, and ideal conditions for watersports, sailing, and tennis.

For slightly cooler temperatures and quieter beaches, May and October are wonderful months. The weather is still reliably warm (often mid 20s °C), the sea is swimmable, and it’s a great time for more active pursuits like cycling, fitness classes, or exploring local culture without the peak summer heat.

In short: there’s no bad time; it just depends on whether you prefer the buzz of high summer or the relaxed vibe of spring and autumn.

Are Mark Warner Holidays all inclusive?

Not quite. Mark Warner holidays generally include flights, transfers, accommodations, 20+ activities, expert tuition, kids' clubs and delicious food. 

In Turkey for example, you stay on a resort board basis, meaning you get 5 days full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and 2 days breakfast and lunch per week. Leaving you a couple of nights free to explore the local town or dine in your favourite spot. Please note, all drinks are not included.


There are also courses you can opt into for an additional cost, such as RYA sailing qualifications or LTA tennis courses. Scuba dives, waterskiing tows or spa treatments are also at an additional cost.

Are activity holidays in Turkey family friendly?

Absolutely. Our Phokaia Beach Resort is perfect for families, with kids’ clubs for ages 2–17, safe watersports, and plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. Parents can join in, or enjoy some well-earned downtime, knowing the little ones are having a blast too.


Are the activities suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. Whether it’s your very first time or you’ve been at it for years, our expert instructors are here to guide you. We’ll help you build confidence, learn the basics, and get the most out of every session - whatever your level.


Can I bring my own gear?

Of course. If you’ve got favourite kit, bring it along. But don’t worry if you’d rather travel light - we’ve got high-quality gear waiting for you at the resort.


Do I need to pay a local tourist tax in Turkey?

Yes, there is a small local tourist tax payable in resort.
