Tignes consists of three villages and is part of the Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area – one of the largest ski resorts in France. Snowboarders will find a fantastic 300km of pistes, suited to beginners and advancers riders alike. Thanks to its high altitude (2100m), the resort enjoys abundant snow throughout the season. Guests choosing Tignes for their snowboarding holidays will have the choice of two stunning chalet hotels, ideally located to enjoy everything that this amazing resort has to offer.

Tignes is a fantastic choice for a snowboarding holiday: by staying in our resort’s area, you’ll have access to gentle nursery slopes and more challenging runs, suiting all levels of riding.
The resort caters particularly well for snowboarders, with no less than 2 snowparks and a half-pipe, perfect to practice those tricks. If you’re not quite there yet, the resort has many reputed ski & snowboard schools that offer lessons for adults and children of all levels. In Tignes we partner with Evolution 2, whose team of experienced instructors will build your confidence and skills up. You’ll be showing off in the snowpark in no time!
In Tignes, we have 2 chalet-hotels guests can choose from. Chalet Hotel L’Ecrin, in Tignes Val Claret, is a traditional Savoie-style chalet that oozes charm, offering cosy double rooms all the way to family rooms. Chalet Hotel Aiguille Percée in Tignes Le Lac is a rustic but modern chalet boasting fantastic views over the lake. The hotel can welcome groups and families of all sizes thanks to mezzanine rooms and superior apartments.
Each chalet-hotel has its own restaurant and bar, allowing guests to enjoy delicious treats, pre-dinner drinks or a warming beverage. Guests will also have the opportunity to unwind in the Viva spa with a luxurious treatment or massage.
Parents looking to spend the day on the slopes can rest assured that their little ones will be well taken care of thanks to the daytime childcare each of the chalets offers. Caring for children aged 1 to 12, our professional nannies will create a lively environment, so your children have as much fun as you have!
Lift passes in Tignes includes a day in La Plagne, the 2 Valleys and Les Arcs. You can pre-book these passes before you leave and our staff will have them ready for you to collect at the hotel.
We’ve also selected a partner for all your snowboarding equipment needs: simply hire the equipment when you’re booking your trip and all you have left is to pick up the equipment at the shop upon arrival.
Solo travellers, groups and families won’t find themselves short of things to do in Tignes! Beyond snowboarding, guests will be able to enjoy activities such as swimming at the local leisure centre, dog sledding, ice skating and even heli-skiing or ice diving in the lake!
On the evening you’re not having dinner at the hotel, you’ll have the chance to explore the local restaurants serving traditional food such as raclette or tartiflette. Night owls will also be pleased to know that Tignes is renowned for its lively après ski and nightlife. With plenty of bars and live entertainment to choose from, the day certainly doesn’t stop at sunset in the resort!
