For those daunted by the idea of starting to ski we dispense with all the hassle – helping you to purchase the right ski pass, organising your ski hire and advising you on ski school. That’s in addition to taking care of the flights, transfers and meals, and providing the most welcoming places to stay!
Our Chalet Hotel Christina in La Plagne is the destination to learn to ski with other like-minded Mark Warner guests and we offer a complete 'Learn to ski package' which bundles your lessons, equipment hire and lift pass into one simple purchase.
We work with hand-picked ski schools in all of our resorts and for us it is essential we offer our guests ski schools with English speaking, experienced instructors. Whether you're a total beginner, or just looking to brush up on your existing skills, we have lessons to suit.
In both Tignes we work with the fantastic ski school Evolution 2. In Meribel and La Plagne we partner with the experienced team at Oxygene and in Les Deux Alpes we work closely with ESF. In St Anton, you can pre-book lessons with Arlberg Ski School.
Our sales team is on hand to answer any questions you might have, however small, while once you’re in resort our experienced hotel managers and staff are only too happy to help, whether it’s getting you to ski school or advising on the best places to enjoy a little après-ski.
For ski schools there will be a limit on the number of students per course, social distancing in groups, staggered arrivals and departures, regular cleaning and disinfection and booking by phone, email and online.
At the current time, it is mandatory to wear a facemask in airports, on flights and transfers and on ski lifts for anyone aged 11+ years. It’s anticipated that the French resorts will not be reducing capacity on the lifts.
When you are booking your holiday, you can pre-book ski lessons at all of our French resorts before you arrive. This ensures you will get the most out of your ski trip and gliding down the slopes with finesse. Our Travel Experts will make a note of what level you are at, to pass onto and the instructors, so they will place you into the correct group based upon ability.
All teachers at ski/snowboard school across our resorts speak a very high standard of English and therefore our guests are able to take to skiing more easily. Their philosophy is simple: they believe in teaching in small groups, with instructors who are specialists in their field, with a huge emphasis on real progression and FUN!
Prices and more information on adult ski and snowboard lessons can be found on each of our hotel pages under 'Ski and snowboard lessons'.
Our adult Learn to ski package is available at our Chalet Hotel Christina in La Plagne and costs £430 (£460 during peak dates). The package includes 5 days morning ski school, 6 day lift pass and equipment hire.

Whichever resort you choose, we offer excellent ski schools for children, to make learning as enjoyable as it is effective. All the instructors we use are English speaking and skilled at teaching children, so your child will soon be relaxed and feeling at home on their skis. Ski schools take children from four years old and class sizes are never more than 10 and are often smaller, so everyone gets plenty of individual attention. We’ve places reserved in all of our recommended ski schools but since spaces are limited, it’s essential to book early, especially in school holidays.
For those children in our childcare clubs, our staff will take and collect them from the Mark Warner approved ski school and they will be offered a supervised high-tea at 5pm, leaving parents the opportunity to make the most out of the mountains until 5.30pm when childcare ends for the day. We strongly advise pre-booking ski school in the UK, as places can book up fast.
In addition, our special Snowman Kindergarten in La Plagne is the perfect way to get three year olds started. In the ski playground your child will have a wonderful time under the watchful eye of an English speaking instructor. When they’re feeling confident in the snow, they’ll move on to the little draglift and ski down the gentle baby slope.
Prices and more information on children's ski and snowboard lessons can be found on each of our hotel pages under 'Ski and snowboard lessons'.
