To truly experience the magic of the Tignes-Val d’Isère Ski Area, exploring the vast off piste areas of the mountains is a must. Mastering the art of skiing well in deep, fresh powder can be difficult, even for the most seasoned of skiers and snowboarders. Off Piste Skiing Areas in Tignes
Tignes has some great off piste skiing areas around the three hamlets which make up the town. In Les Brevieres there are plenty of off-piste areas to explore. To reach the best runs, head to the top of the Aigulle Percee chairlift where there are plenty of off piste areas to explore around the runs.
Around Tignes Le Lac there are also a lot of off-piste fun to be had around the pistes. The areas around the Chardonnet, Palafour and L’Aiguille runs are the best places for off piste skiing in the area after a fresh fall of snow. In Val Claret there are also some areas to venture off. The best of the areas is generally around the Grande Motte Glacier.

Not to be missed, check out the famous Bellevarde off piste area where you will find a large selection of off piste runs including the Banana and Charvet tour.
