Lift Passes

Tignes and Val d'Isere pass

Pre-book your lift passes in the UK before you depart and they will be available at the hotel when you arrive, leaving you one less thing to arrange on your first day. 

Should you wish to pre-book then please do so no later than 2 weeks prior to your departure date.The Espace Killy lift pass is valid for all lifts in Tignes & Val d’Isere, and includes one day free entry to the local ‘Lagoon swimming pool’ in Tignes; perfect for a break from the slopes! Please note this is only included for 2-to-15 consecutive day passes.

Please note that beginners do not need a lift pass for the first couple of days, as the beginners lifts are free to use - your instructor will let you know when to get a lift pass for your following lesson (from the tourist office or hotel).

Lift passes for children under 8 years and adults over 75 years and over cannot be pre-booked. They are available by showing photo ID proof of age at the lift pass office.

A Tignes 6-day pass is valid for all lifts in Tignes. There are four free nursery lifts in Tignes. Reduced price passes are usually available at the start of the season.

We have carefully selected a ski and snowboard hire shop that provides quality equipment, good customer service and value for money. A member of staff will guide you to the shop for equipment collection on your arrival day where your skis, boards and boots will be ready.

Ski Lessons


We warmly welcome beginner skiers and boarders with the aim to help you on your way to loving the sport as much as we do. 

Lessons are not just for beginners though, if you are looking to improve your technique or build up confidence, booking lessons on your ski holiday will be the best way. 

At Chalet Hotel L'Ecrin we are here to help with your ski lesson booking. Our partner, Evolution 2 provide ski lessons for adults and children from 4 years of age. 

Adult Lessons

When you are booking your holiday, you can pre-book ski lessons at our French resort before you arrive. This ensures you will get the most out of your ski trip and gliding down the slopes with finesse. Find out more

Children's Lessons

We work with an excellent ski school for children in Tignes, to make learning as enjoyable as it is effective. All the instructors we use are English speaking and skilled at teaching children, so your child will soon be relaxed and feeling at home on their skis. Find out more

Childcare

Chalet Hotel L'Ecrin is a popular hotel for families with the ski slopes 500m away. Childcare at the hotel is available for children from ages 4 months to 12 years and must be pre-booked at an additional cost. The hotel crèche is colourful, fun and fully equipped with all the latest toys and books, cots, potties, bottle sterilisers and fridge. There is a parents kitchen facility for late night feeds and a free evening childcare service if children are booked into day time clubs. Parents can relax over dinner for two or join a social table with fellow guests. Find out more
