Ionian Coast, Greece

The small town of Paleros is situated on the north-west coast of Aetolia-Acarnania and is a 30-minute walk or a gentle cycle ride from the resort. The village is well worth a visit and has plenty of quaint seafront bars, restaurants and authentic Greek tavernas to relax and admire the ocean views.

Also nearby is the beautiful island of Lefkada, famous for its incredible beaches which amazes visitors with the magical blue colour of its waters and picturesque scenery.

Head for the beach

There are many advantages to having a private corner on a golden sandy beach, the fabulous watersports conditions and the cosy beach bar being just two.

From the resort's southwestern location, explore the island's rich history and culture, or, stay closer to Aeolian Village Beach Resort and take a gentle stroll to Skala Eresou with its selection of seaside tavernas and bars.

Why Rhodes is the perfect summer escape?

Spend you summer making the most of the Greek Islands with Mark Warner. Our Kamari Beach Resort is a great base for exploring Rhodes and its ancient sites. The Acropolis of Lindos, a UNESCO world heritage site, overlooking the stunning St Paul’s Bay, and the charming whitewashed cobbled town of Lindos are just a 15-minute drive away.

Or head inland to the Valley of the Butterflies, or visit the mediaeval architecture in Rhodes Old Town. If that’s too far to wander, the pretty villages of Lardos and Pefki are just up the road from the resort.

Lemnos - a hidden gem

Lemnos is one of our smallest resorts with a village-like feel. All of the Mark Warner activities are close at hand.

The pretty town of Myrina, with its Venetian castle and waterfront restaurants, is only a 10 minute drive from the resort (roughly 3km) - perfect for a day out.

On Plati Beach within a picturesque bay, Lemnos is a firm favourite with a loyal following for a reason.

And if you head down the beach on foot, there are numerous beach bars to try out if you fancy it.

Private Bay

On a private bay, Phokaia has a luxurious beach resort feel. From the beach loungers to Balinese beds to the Jetty bar you'll have fabulous views across the sea. At the other end of the bay, heading North, (about a 10 minute walk) there's a handful of cafes and restaurants at the end of the bay.

In opposite direction yout over the charming village of Foça. You are a 30 minute walk or short cycle/drive to Foça with plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops to explore in the old town as you walk along the promenade.

You can also take boat trips to nearby islands surrounding Foça where you could spot the rare Mediterranean monk seals.
