There is a lot to see on the west coast of Greece, and a great way to explore Paleros’ surroundings is by bike. Take to the open roads and enjoy spectacular views over the mountains and sea. With routes hugging the coastline or heading inland, there will be something for all abilities. So whether you’re on your own, with your family or in a group of friends, make the most of the road cycling facilities at our Paleros Beach Resort.
Guests will have the choice to explore on their own or join one of our popular guided tours – free of charge. If you’re looking to set out on your own, a map will be provided and our seasoned guides will be happy to advise you on the best routes to take.
You can also choose to join a guided tour with one of our experienced guides. From easy-going tours to more challenging rides, these tours have been created to suit all abilities. Ranging from 10km to 90km and lasting from 2 to 5 hours, you will be able to choose the category that suits you best.
Younger guests aged 13 to 17 are welcome to join if they can comfortably fit on an adult bike and into a helmet, and are accompanied by an adult or guardian.
We have a fleet of Cannondale bikes available in the resort, all coming with a helmet provided free of charge, which is mandatory to use. The Cannondale Synapse Claris is a basic entry level road bike and is available free of charge. Guests choosing to use this bike for a guided tour will be charged for half a day.
If you have any issues with your bike, we can provide repair kits, pumps, spare inner tubes and tyre levers. Our staff are always happy to assist with repairs and fittings as well as offering advice.
Keen cyclists are welcome to bring their own bike to Paleros Beach Resort, however as spaces are limited to 10 bikes, we strongly recommend booking ahead. Spots are given on a first-come-first-served basis so guests bringing their own bike can use the resort’s bike shed to safely store their bike during the day.
We encourage guests who cycle regularly to bring their own pedals – which the staff will be happy to fit on one of our own bikes if needed.
Helmets are provided but it’s up to you to bring shoes, cleats, bib shorts and any other clothing that is comfortable for road cycling and that is suited to the weather.
