If you’ve done it before, or have never even sat in one, you’ll know that taking to the water in a kayak is something else.
Kayaking is a great way to explore the local coastline when you’re on holiday and is perfect for those who want to get on the water but might not be keen to sail, windsurf or get on a jet-ski.
If you like a laidback approach to watersports, kayaking will be the ideal activity, and with the options available on our holidays, you can do it in a safe and fun way.
Kayaking is available at most of our resorts. If you’ve never done it before and want to know exactly what to do so you’re confident when heading out, you may be able to get private lessons on the basics of kayaking to get you up to speed in no time at all.
Resorts with kayaking available include:
You’ll be able to inquire at each resort if they have private lessons available for you.
Our kayaks come with double-ended paddles and are great for calm paddling in the early mornings to powering through the waves when the wind picks up.
Some resorts will have sit-in models, while others will have sit-on-top kayaks. If you want to kayak in a group, or with kids in shallower water, the latter are ideal.
All of our watersport beach resorts have kayaks available to take out free of charge. Our fully qualified instructors will help you carry your kayak to the water and even offer you a few tips and pointers if you need a brush-up and want to know how it’ll feel when you go out.
There is no time limit and you can spend as long as you wish out on the water when the waterfront is open.
Children booked into our childcare programmes including Mini, Junior, Kidz and Indy Clubs have kayaking sessions included in their programme.
If it's completely new to them, it's great way to have fun out on the water with their new friends in a safe environment.
We have a splashtastic range of watersport activities at all our sun resorts.
Whether you want to take to the sea and go sailing, pop a snorkel in and go scuba diving or see how good your balance is with stand-up paddle boarding, take a look at all the activities on our watersports page to plan out what you’ll get up to on holiday.
