What’s included in your sailing regatta week with Mark Warner

Cost

There is no charge for the Sailing Regatta Week. Please select the Regatta Week option when choosing your activities during the booking process online or over the phone, so our team can plan numbers and organise the week.

Sessions and clinics

Each morning, Mark Warner’s expert waterfront team will demonstrate key sailing and racing techniques. Across the week, clinics and sessions are designed to help you learn, practice and improve your race technique.

Beginner and intermediate race coaching

Whether you're new to racing or looking to refine your technique, dedicated coaching sessions during the first two days of the week help you develop at the right level. Beginner racers will learn the fundamentals, including race starts, mark rounding, basic tactics and racing rules, while intermediate sailors can focus on advanced starts, boat handling, tactical decision-making, tuning to conditions and improving race performance through on-water coaching and practice races.

Debriefs

After each session on the water, you’ll join group debriefs to review what has been practiced and learnt. Clinics are tailored around the day’s racing and key areas for improvement.

Q&A sessions

Each evening, the official race team hosts a Q&A session at the beach bar, giving guests the chance to ask questions, share sailing stories and reflect on the day’s racing.

Racing

Take part in a full programme of racing across the week, from fun races to morning and afternoon race series. Events include singlehanded fleet racing, handicapped racing and the end-of-week Mark Warner Big Race.

Flexible participation - Racing runs across mornings and afternoons, making it easy to fit around other resort activities or childcare. Guests can dip in and out as much as they like, signing up each morning for that day’s racing events.

Socials and dinners

Enjoy a welcome regatta dinner on the second evening, daily pre-dinner drinks at 7.30pm, and an additional regatta dinner later in the week. These social moments help guests mix, celebrate the racing and enjoy the wider regatta atmosphere.

Results and prize giving

Racing results are posted each evening, so competitors can see where they placed. On the final night, following the race finale, a prize giving brings the week to a celebratory close.

Resort activities

Alongside the regatta programme, guests can enjoy the wider Mark Warner resort experience, including beach time, watersports, activities, dining and time to relax between sailing sessions.
