Younger guests from 13 to 17 years old are welcome to come along biking as long as they fit comfortably on an adult mountain bike, into a helmet, and are accompanied by an adult or guardian.
Easy going tours generally cover 10-15km and last around 2 hours. Medium tours cover between 20 and 25km and take about 2-2.5 hours to complete. Finally, challenging rides involve a great amount of climbing, cover between 25 and 40km and last over 2-3 hours.
You can find an overview of sample tours on our mountain biking page. Easy going tours usually stay close to the coastline and cross the town, perfect for beginners and a great means of local orientation. Medium tours involve a greater amount of climbs and are suited for intermediate levels, while challenging tours are best reserved for experienced cyclists: expect a large amount of climbing, rewarded by stunning scenery and thrilling descents back to sea level.
We recently upgraded our fleet of mountain bikes, and Cannondale Trail Hardtail bikes are now available at our Paleros Beach Resort free of charge, from 9 am to 6 pm, six days a week. Helmets are mandatory and provided free of charge.
Should you have any issues with your bike, you will find puncture repair kits, tyre levers, pumps and spare inner tubes in the resort. Staff will always be on hand to help you maintain your bike in prime condition for your rides.
Guests are welcome to bring their own bike if they wish, however we strongly recommend booking ahead of your trip as places are limited to 10 bikes and preference is given on a first-come-first-served basis. Bikes can be safely stored in our bike shed during the day.
Helmets are provided but we recommend you bring your own shorts, jersey, shoes and any clothing or equipment suited for mountain biking.
