When was the last time you went out of your comfort zone and tried something exhilarating and exciting on your holidays? If you love a sense of adventure (and being out on the water), we have just the thing for you.
At Phokaia Beach Resort we offer a lot of watersports, but none are arguably as thrilling and invigorating as trying your hand at waterskiing and wakeboarding.
The beach is perfect for first timers to get to grips with technique and you’ll hardly find a nicer place to make a splash when learning to become a ski or board master on the water. The weather is pretty much perfect every morning in the summer for getting out there and learning, and with the unique location of our resort, it’s an enviable place to learn the basics and get out on the water.
*Some lessons for these activities may come at an extra cost during your stay.
It can be a little daunting if it’s your first time on a pair of skis and you’re about to go around the water from the back of a boat. Thanks to the expert instructors, you can quickly learn how to balance on skis, how to control your body, why it's ok to have a tumble or two while learning, and quickly progress.
Guests love how fast the process of learning to water ski is and will usually go from complete amateurs to having a good standard by the end of the week.
Slightly more daunting than using skis, many people say that using a wakeboard out on the water is much easier. A lot of teenagers staying at the resort love the lessons and try their best to learn how to catch air from waves quickly thanks to the tuition we provide.
Plus, with the Aegean Sea as the backdrop, you’d be hard pushed to find a better place to learn how to wakeboard.
Waterskiing and wakeboarding seem like a bit too much? Prefer to take it easier when out on the water. We have other watersports you can take part in here at Phokaia Beach Resort.
Kayaking is the most relaxing way to get out on the water and breeze through the day by yourself, or as a tandem in a 2-seater kayak.
Phokaia is known for having clear water, and scuba diving is a must if you have the time. You’ll be able to get underwater and see some of the incredible marine life.
Also, if you want to take it easy on the water and watch the world go by in a unique way, you’ll want to try SUP boarding. The sport has become quite trendy in recent years, it is very easy to learn and will see you paddling in the water in no time at all.
