Familiarise yourself with the Turkey COVID Entry Requirements

The travel requirements for your upcoming holiday to Turkey may look a little different from what you have experienced in the past. When preparing for your next holiday, please ensure that you have read the following requirements carefully and taken the appropriate action, as you will not be able to travel without having completed all of the necessary forms and purchased COVID-19 tests in advance.

Our Sales Travel Experts and After Sales Care Team are on hand six days a week to help answer any COVID queries that you might have.

Flying to Turkey

Mandatory Forms

There are no mandatory forms to complete before entering Turkey from the UK.

COVID-19 Testing Requirements

There are standard entry requirements for all passengers, and further requirements depending on your age and vaccination status.

Where applicable, please print all documentation ahead of time rather than trying to download it in the Arrivals Hall of your destination.

If you’re fully vaccinated

  • You can enter Turkey without needing to test or quarantine.
  • At least 14 days must have passed since your second dose of the vaccine and the vaccine must be approved by the Turkish Ministry of Health or World Health Organization.
  • Proof of full vaccination status.

Proof of vaccination

Turkey will accept the UK’s proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination record and proof of COVID-19 vaccination issued in the Crown Dependencies. Your NHS appointment card from vaccination centres is not designed to be used as proof of vaccination and should not be used to demonstrate your vaccine status.

If you’re not fully vaccinated

  • You’ll need to show proof of a negative PCR test (taken no more than 72 hours before entry), rapid antigen test (taken no more than 48 hours before entry), or proof of a recent recovery from COVID-19 within the last six months, when entering Turkey.
  • You should not use the NHS testing service to get a test in order to facilitate your travel to another country. You should arrange to take a private test.

If you’ve had COVID-19 in the last six months

  • If you’re not fully vaccinated but have recovered from COVID-19 in the last six months, you can enter Turkey. You’ll need to show evidence of a positive PCR test (taken more than 14 days and less than six months ago). You will not need to take an additional COVID-19 test.
  • You can use the NHS COVID Pass to demonstrate proof of COVID-19 recovery when entering Turkey.

Children and young people

  • Children aged 11 and under can follow the rules for fully vaccinated travellers to enter Turkey.
  • Those aged 12-17 should follow the guidance for those not fully vaccinated.

Wearing a mask

Your airline may require you to wear a mask on your flight and currently you are legally required to wear a mask when transiting through any of our overseas airports. UK airports recommend mask wearing, but is not a legal obligation. So please ensure you have a mask on your person or in hand luggage.

Our Health Partners

Our Health Partners are Randox, Klarity and Qured, all of whom are approved by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). You will receive an exclusive discount code for Randox and Qured via email after booking your holiday with us.

All tests must be booked before you leave the UK.

While in Turkey

Requirements in public spaces

Face masks are no longer required outdoors or indoors if air circulation and social distancing are adequate. They will however be required on any public transport.

Returning to England
