It's the sailing and windsurfing that make Lemnos special, although there's a full range of watersports on offer. Lemnos is blessed with near–perfect wind conditions. After calm mornings, good breezes get up from midday, meaning you can water ski early or late in the day, and sail or windsurf throughout the day. Lemnos Beach Resort is fully equipped with a selection of different kits for all forms of watersports, including sailing, windsurfing, scuba-diving, kayaking, SUP boarding, water-skiing and wakeboarding, so everyone can get out and enjoy the beautiful clear waters around the island. With our superb onsite instructors, we have something of offer for all ages and abilities.
The waterfront is open from 9am to 5.30pm six days a week during off-peak season and seven days a week during peak season, allowing our guests full day access to the water. On Sundays in peak season, it is closed between 12pm and 2.30pm.
With near-perfect wind conditions, it’s no surprise the most popular watersport on the island is sailing. At Lemnos Beach we have a selection of different dinghies for our guests to use, so everyone from complete beginners to advanced sailors can get out on the water. If you are looking to gain a certification in sailing, there is no better place to do so than at Lemnos Beach. We have a team of fully qualified and experienced instructors on hand to help you improve and progress in your sailing. From our free taster sessions to week long courses, our large variety of sailing courses ensure that everyone can get out and experience the perfect sailing conditions Lemnos has to offer.
Like sailing, the perfect wind conditions makes Lemnos Beach the ideal destination for windsurfing. Windsurfers flock to the island during the summer months to enjoy the guaranteed sunshine, warm waters and superb winds. At Lemnos Beach Resort our guests can get out on the water for themselves and experience these superb conditions on one of our many windsurfing courses. From starter lessons to advanced courses where you can try your hand at free style windsurfing and beach starts, our courses are suitable for all abilities.
Explore what lies beneath the blue waters surrounding Lemnos on a scuba diving trip. The Aegean Sea is particularly rich in sea life with turtles, octopus, barracuda, corals and much more, all present in the waters surrounding the island. With excellent visibility and warm temperatures Lemnos is a superb spot for diving. Guests at Lemnos Beach can explore these waters on one of our scuba diving lessons. Offering a range of lessons, including PADI certified courses, take the plunge with our world-class instructors and discover this fascinating underwater world.
