A world of adventure awaits any family who jets off on a special holiday with us. We have the ideal activity holiday for any family – whether that involves hitting the beach to enjoy some windsurfing in Rhodes, foiling in Greece or paddle boarding in Turkey.
With a host of summer destinations primed for family fun, we put a focus on providing activities you won’t get from a normal family holiday. We aim to have you trying new things on holiday as a family, especially when it comes to activities you don’t get to do at home. It’s a chance to embrace this special time away as a family and make the most of what destinations like Corsica and Sardinia have to offer.
Family activities available at our Summer Resorts include:
Across our resorts, we have almost two dozen tennis courts to practice your serve and perfect your backhand. Families have access throughout the day to come along and see if they’re Wimbledon ready with expert LTA approved coaches at hand for family lessons. We provide private lessons for anyone aged 14 and over, either as an individual lesson or part of a package.
Mini and Junior tennis courses run throughout the week for kids, with Mini LTA courses (age 3-5) and Junior LTA courses (aged 6 – 13) helping them get interested in tennis with fun lessons that cover the basics; making for a rare instance of coming home from holiday having learned a new skill.
While there’s nothing wrong with stretching out and taking it easy by the pool, when you’re staying at any of our resorts around the Mediterranean, you’d be remiss if you didn’t get your family straight down to the beach every morning to try the amazing watersports we have available.
Popular watersports at our resorts include:
When you want to take it easy, kayaking is one of the top-rated family watersport activities we have. It’s easy to get to grips with, safe to carry out and a lot of fun. You’ll sometimes find kayaks that fit two available for use as well. These are great fun for parents and kids to team up and take it easy out in the water.
Some watersports may be completely new to families, especially when you look at the likes of sailing and stand up paddle boarding. Depending on age, those enrolled in their relevant age group for our daily clubs will take lessons. For example, windsurfing with special equipment is available at every resort as part of the Junior Club, while 10-13-year-olds in the Kidz Club would expect to try out sailing, windsurfing, water polo and kayaking throughout the week.
Popping on a bicycle or mountain bike is free for families at most destinations. Kicking things up a gear and going out of the resort to explore the local area is one of the more unique family activities you’ll get on a holiday with us, absolutely trumping having to sit on a bus to see the sights.
We actively encourage going for a little excursion on a road bicycle, especially younger bike riders, but there are age restrictions in place. In most cases, as long as a cyclist aged 13 and above, and can comfortably sit on a bike without any problems, families are fine to go exploring together.
When you want to go for a spin, don’t forget some resorts like Lemnos and Perdepera Beach Resort have mountain biking available so you can go off-road.
When you go on one of our holidays, we promise that everyone is going to have a great time no matter what age they are. Our family holidays to destinations in Greece, Turkey, Sardinia and Corsica are primed with flexible childcare sessions, free childcare at various points of the day, direct transfers to avoid any headaches and, most importantly, evening care so parents can get some much-needed downtime.
