If you are a beginner to skiing or snowboarding, Mark Warner’s Austrian Chalet Hotel Rosanna is located within fantastic distance to numerous ski and snowboard schools, where the patient instructors will be delighted to help you develop your skills. One of the first things you’ll learn is how to stop slowly and safely, by pointing your skis into a ‘snowplough’ position. Then you’ll have a go at travelling downhill with parallel skis, and even learn how to turn and change direction. With these qualified instructors, you’ll be able to advance at your own pace in a supportive atmosphere.

Mark Warner will kit you out with skis that are suitable for your height, ski boots in your shoe size, and ski poles. You’ll be shown how to fasten the boots correctly and attach them to your skis too. Just bring your own warm, thick protective clothing, and you’ll be ready to go.
Beginners can take advantage of the amazing Arlberg Ski School in St Anton. Guests can pre-book lessons in advance. Their qualified snow sport instructors can teach you everything from downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and they do classes for children too. The Mark Warner team are always on hand to answer any questions you might have, whether it’s getting you to ski school or advising on the best places to enjoy a little après-ski.
Beginners can ease their way onto the slopes with the help and guidance of the adult beginner skiing lessons. Carefully crafted to help the inexperienced gain the confidence and skills needed to feel at one with the slopes, beginners will feel right at home. English-speaking instructors will work with you as part of small group providing you with the tools necessary to develop your skills on the snow. You’ll learn a new skill, have fun and make new friends.

This alpine village is made up of around 340Km of slopes and has a multitude of areas perfect for all levels of skill and confidence. The best ski conditions run November-April, with the Chalet Hotel Rosanna opening late December to ensure you have an amazing experience no matter whether you come early in the season or late.
