What Our Guests Say

  • Adults
  • Families
  • Christmas
  • New Year

For Adults

Tignes is known for being one of the most exciting resorts on the European ski scene. Few things can beat gliding down a run while enjoying the stunning surroundings on a sunny day.

Sunny days aren’t always guaranteed however Tignes certainly compensates for this, with the best snow and views in the Alps and extremely well maintained terrain. Beginners can take advantage of the fantastic ski and snowboarding lessons. An integral part of the ski day.

Renowned for superb après ski and nightlife, Tignes’ numerous villages mean that knowing the best après ski bars and clubs in the resort is crucial to having an unforgettable night.

From lively mountain bars to cosy, local restaurants serving up vin chaud and warm crepes, Tignes makes sure all of its visitors have somewhere to warm up and relax after a day on the slopes.

For Families

Skiing as a family is a magical experience, but why don’t you let us do the planning, leaving you to have the fun.

Whether your children are seasoned skiers or total beginners, babies or school age, our comprehensive childcare programme from 4 months to 12 years, superb nannies, recommended ski schools and evening crèche, make for a relaxing holiday all round.

For Christmas

Christmas on the slopes is a lovely way to bring family and friends together. After a big day of skiing, warm up with a mug of mulled wine and a mince pie.

Our chef team has put together a festive menu for Christmas dinner. Choose from traditional roast turkey, fillet of sea bass with a lemon and tarragon beurre blanc, or a vegetarian nut roast with salsa rosa.

Leave room for something sweet: Christmas pudding, Eton mess or a board of local French cheeses. Then head through to the bar for coffee and petits fours.

Our Christmas week was fully booked early last year, so it’s worth booking soon to get the dates and rooms you want.

For New Year

Bring in the New Year in the mountains! A ski holiday over New Year is the perfect excuse to get your favourite people together, whether that’s family, friends or both. At Chalet Hotel L’Ecrin you’re right in the heart of the festive fun in Tignes, France.

Tignes Val Claret is up at a lofty at 2,100m, with glacier skiing up to 3,456m, so it’s a great place to find snow over New Year. Spend your days on the slopes, then head for après, live music, and a New Year’s Eve you’ll be talking about for years.

On the big night, sit down to a five-course gala dinner with a glass of champagne. Then head out to join the celebrations in resort, where fireworks light up the sky at midnight.

Coming with the family? New Year falls in the school holidays, so it’s a great time for everyone to enjoy the break together. The chalet hotel is a short walk from the main lifts and close to the town centre, so you’ll spend less time getting around and more time having fun.

New Year is one of the most popular weeks of the season, so book early to make sure you get your spot on the slopes.
