If you’ve always dreamt of a white Christmas, why not hit the slopes for a Christmas ski holiday to remember? Stay in a cosy lodge overlooking the slopes. Join Mark Warner in the Alps and enjoy magical snow, great ski runs and bundles of jovial cheer whether travelling solo, as a couple or with family and friends.
Skiing and boarding over the festive season and new year is the perfect way to bring family and friends together over a mug of mulled wine and a mince pie after a long day on the slopes. There’ll be plenty of festive spirit at our chalet hotels too, including a gala dinner with all the trimmings and celebratory bubbly.
Why should you pick France for skiing this Christmas? It’s quite simple really. From November to April our resorts in the area are snow sure. That means you’re guaranteed to wake up every day and open the windows to find a pristine slope covered in snow. With countless flights over this period it’s easier than ever to jet off to our ski resorts in France for a Christmas break.
Each resort offers fluent English speaking tuition, so if you’ve never skied before don’t worry as you’ll be confident to go it alone in no time at all. Our French resorts are great spots for taking kids if they’re new to skiing too, with French family ski holidays one of our most popular destinations in the winter. Our family friendly French resorts have excellent childcare facilities and clubs for kids aged 4 months all the way up to 12 years old and offer an evening listening service that lets parents get some much needed chill out time.
Our favourite ski area of the Savoie is Espace Killy. It is home to the lively and long established Tignes; renowned for the legendary Grande Motte glacier that hosts a number of perfect runs. With some notable restaurants and cafes too, this is quite the après ski spot.
Chalet Hotel L'Ecrin is in the perfect spot for guests who wish to experience the legendary après-ski and only a 10-minute walk (or short bus ride) to the 5 main lifts in Tignes. For those guests seeking the thrill of the slopes on their doorstep, Chalet Hotel Aiguille Percée is perfectly located, just 100 metres to the main gondola which will whisk you to the vast Tignes ski area.
