Mark Warner’s ski holidays in France are tailor-made for parents who want great quality on a sensible budget in high altitude resorts where skiing is guaranteed across the season, whether you visit at Christmas, February half term or Easter with pre-schoolers or in quieter periods. These renowned French resorts offer stunning views over the Alps and high altitude ensures good snow conditions throughout the colder months of the year.
Our cosy chalet-hotels and chalets in the classic, child-friendly ski resorts of Les Deux Alpes, La Plagne and Tignes and are all well located for the slopes and ski-school meeting points. All include hearty breakfasts and afternoon tea in their prices, as well as three-course dinners with complimentary wine. Many also have on-site market leading childcare for ages four months to 12 years, which can work around ski tuition for the older ones. Some resorts also offer a drop off and pick up service for your children, to and from ski schools.

Our properties in the French Alps are ideal for families. Many hotels have qualified, English-speaking nannies providing expert childcare; others welcome children over seven years of age in the school holidays. As well as running activities our highly experienced, super friendly staff will take your children to and from the Mark Warner recommended ski school if they are booked in for tuition. Activities include plenty of snow-play, sledging, snowman-building and ice skating.
Mark Warner’s evening childcare service means your children can enjoy an early children’s tea with their new friends before snuggling up and listening to a story, watching a DVD or going to sleep while you have a quiet dinner or a drink in the bar. For those not booked into daytime childcare, evening childcare will be charged at £60 per child per week and should be pre-booked as places are limited.
Outside our hotels, there’s plenty of scope for family outings in all our lively resorts, from aquatic centres and climbing walls to ice rinks, from dog-sledding to tobogganing (and in La Plagne even an Olympic bobsleigh track). Some of our chalet hotels also have their own swimming pool for guest use.
Foodies will appreciate the many restaurants in the resorts, where guests can enjoy traditional French cuisine and delicious meals to fuel a busy day of activities. For parents making the most out of the resorts’ evening childcare, French resorts have a bustling après ski scene where dinner, drinks and even music can be enjoyed.
