Shopping hotspots

If you are looking to do a spot of shopping when staying at the Mark Warner Chalet Loden, wander into the main town and discover a selection of souvenir, sports, fashion boutiques, food and wine shops. Treat yourself to some arts and crafts goods or pick up the perfect gift for your friends and family back home.

Every Tuesday and Friday from 9 am to 7 pm, mid-December to mid-April, quaint local markets appear on the Route de la Chaudanne in Méribel centre. Discover delicious produce, clothing, jewellery and much more. This is a great way to mingle with the locals and experience authentic French culture throughout your holiday. Stock up on a few of your favourite snacks and light bites at a variety of local food outlets dotted around the town. There are around 10 mini-markets and supermarkets and 3 butchers within the surrounding area for you to choose from.

The other two main districts in Méribel, Courchevel and Val Therens, are also worth exploring as they are home to a variety of interesting shops.

Nearby glacier

During a ski holiday to Méribel, it is worthwhile skiing down the incredible Glacier of Gébroulaz where you can enjoy soft snow and great scenic views. The easiest way to access the glacier is to take a ski lift from Méribel to the top of Val Thorens. After jumping off the lift, put on your skis and climb to the top. Reaching the summit of the glacier is a tough yet rewarding experience for all. Admire the breath-taking snow-capped mountain views as you take a break at the peak. It is the perfect spot to capture stunning photographs before skiing back down the powdery slopes.

Getting to Méribel

Mark Warner provide a simple solution to getting to and from the resort of Meribel. We offer multiple flight options including London Gatwick and Heathrow, Manchester and Birmingham, which are chartered especially for our guests each Sunday of the winter season. Each of these flights lands into Grenoble in France where a coach will be waiting to pick up guests to transfer to the resort.
