Built from timber in the traditional Savoie style, our property in Tignes Val Claret oozes charm and tradition with its alpine interior, spa and swimming pool. We introduced the fantastic Chalet Hotel L’Ecrin to our programme in 2015. The 51 room chalet hotel with spa and pool facilities located in Tignes Val Claret, the village above Tignes Le Lac has proved to be a wonderful, popular addition to Mark Warner portfolio. The Chalet Hotel L’Ecrin is situated on the outskirts of the village only a short walk to the 5 main lifts in Tignes Val Claret.

The French resort tax at Chalet Hotel L’Ecrin is €5.28 per person aged 18+ per night in December 2025 and €5.34 per person per night aged 18+ from 1st January 2026, payable at the end of the holiday in resort. The charges apply to anyone aged 18+.

The high snow-sure resort of Tignes, part of the combined Tignes and Val d’Isere ski area, offers over 300km of pistes, making it perfect for all levels of snow sports enthusiasts.

Hotel Pool

Anyone who has taken winter sports holidays before will tell you that a swimming pool back at your hotel is a real treat.

After a day on the slopes, being able to just pop downstairs to take a dip in the private heated pool is a welcome indulgence.

The pool is good size, plenty big enough to enjoy a few leisurely lengths to stretch out tired muscles or for a bit of après ski fun with the kids.

Chalet board, wine included

All guests at L’Ecrin are booked on a chalet board basis. For the uninitiated, chalet board was designed around ski holidays to enable guests to relax and enjoy their downtime with a minimum of effort after the day’s exertions on the slopes.

Included in your holiday are a substantial breakfast (full English or continental), a reviving afternoon tea in the afternoon, complete with homemade cakes, and a 3-course dinner with complimentary wine to accompany your meal.

Our friendly staff will ensure you’re relaxed and well fed and the mix of small and large tables in the restaurant provide a convivial atmosphere whether dining as a couple, family or with new friends.
