We have handpicked a selection of our resorts, which are excellent if you are travelling as a family. These top hotels all offer superb facilities, a selection of room types to suit families of all sizes, good locations and have a childcare provision for children from age 4 months upwards.

To help you understand what it is we can do for anyone searching for a family holiday, we have outlined some of the most popular questions asked by our guests when they’re booking online which can hopefully give you a better understanding of what to expect when you take your family holiday with us.

Why choose a Mark Warner family holiday?

There is a reason we’ve been helping families for over 3 decades now. Our family holidays are tailor made to make what can be an organisational nightmare go without a hitch. Holidays should be all about relaxing, taking it easy and having everyone in the family enjoy their time away no matter what age they are. We help make this happen in our resorts thanks to our family friendly facilities, activities and expert childcare.

What resorts provide Mark Warner family holidays?

There are a number of different resorts in both our summer and winter destinations that are perfect for families. For those dreaming of sunny days down by the pool, a holiday in Corsica, Perdepera Beach Resort in Sardinia, or any of our resorts in picturesque Greece are best for families who want to enjoy the sun in fun and safe surroundings.

For those gearing up for some ski action on the piste, we have six family friendly hotels in our French family ski resorts which all offer childcare. We also have some luxury ski apartments at our resort in Austria and charming features dotted around our Courmayeur chalet hotel in Italy which take children 7 years and up during peak time.

What is the travel experience like?

Our family holidays are designed to run as smoothly as possible. The routes are direct return flights from airports across the UK. Some of the airports we fly from direct include London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol, Glasgow and Edinburgh. When checking the price of holidays on site, you can choose which airport to fly from to see when our direct flights are.

To help save time when you land, we provide transfers to your resort as well. We also provide the opportunity for any family planning to hit the slopes to book ski lift passes, ski and boot hire and childcare facilities before their trip as it’s these little things that can often end up becoming an inconvenience when not done ahead of time.

What type of childcare is provided?

Across all our resorts childcare is available and operated by fully qualified nannies. Our holiday childcare goes from 4 months all the way to 17 years in summer and runs all season long. For ski holidays, our childcare runs from ages 4 months to 12 years.

In the summer, even the most reluctant teenager won't be able to resist our Indy Club (13 to 17 years) full of activities and of course teenager chill out time. Many of our resorts are ideally placed along sheltered bays, have shallow swimming pools and always have a dedicated programme of activities to keep kids busy and entertained all day long.

In the winter, recommended ski schools and free evening listening makes for a relaxing holiday all round, with our Mini Club helping kids aged 3-5 get out on the slopes for the first time to take part in sledging, building snowmen and indoor activities such as arts and crafts.

What family friendly facilities are provided on your sun holidays?

All our sun holidays have direct return flights with resort transfers to make the journey go without a hitch. When you’re checked in and everyone is nicely settled you’ll have no problem getting used to the facilities at our resorts; from family rooms and parents’ kitchens to crèches and free childcare for kids aged 2 and up.

What family friendly facilities are provided on your ski holidays?

A potential headache when planning a big family ski holiday can be knowing exactly what a resort has to offer. Six of our 12 resorts that have perfect facilities for families; Chalet Hotels L’Ecrin and Aiguille Percée in Tignes, Chalet Hotel Val d’Isére, Chalet Hotel Christina in La Plagne, Chalet Hotel Tarentaise in Méribel and Chalet Hotel Bérangère in Les Deux Alpes.

At these resorts the childcare timetable works perfectly around shaping what the family can do on any given day, along with an optional drop off and pick up service for your children’s ski school.

What activities can I expect on a Mark Warner family sun holiday?

We try to make sure that kids have as much fun in the sun as is possible. Our Mini Club for children aged 3 to 5 has wave jumping and dance classes. The junior club makes sure kids aged 6 to 9 are as active as possible with table tennis, beach volleyball, supervised windsurfing and sailing lessons.

The Kidz Club for 10-13 year olds is very adamant on letting independent thought thrive with sea frisbee, kayaking, beach cricket, sailing and tennis on the cards for kids depending on what they want to do that day. For teenagers aged 13-17, the Indy Club has activities that run from 10am to 10.30pm, with tennis, beach activities and watersports all on the cards.

What activities can I expect on a Mark Warner family ski holiday?

At our ski resorts we have childcare clubs broken down into different age groups to help give all kids the chance to experience the slopes. In our Toddler club, there is the chance for even the youngest of age groups to enjoy some snow play or a buggy outing. The Mini Club helps 3 to 5 year olds with a bundle of energy experience the slopes for the first time as well as indoors activities like face painting and arts & crafts.

The Kidz Club for 6 to 12 year olds is very much focussed on getting kids out to ski and have fun on the piste. Whether it’s sledging downhill, ice skating or going on a treasure hunt, children of all ages will always be entertained.

Can I expect some downtime for parents?

We can’t let the kids have all the fun when on a family holiday. That’s why we help parents get some well-deserved downtime, especially in the evening when you both need a little me time after what can feel like a long day taking part in outdoor activities in the sun, laying by the pool or out skiing all day.

A free evening listening service is available at all our sun and family friendly ski resorts. This usually runs from 7.30pm to 10pm and is a chance for parents to enjoy a meal together in the resort while our qualified childcare staff supervise not too far away.

At our sun destinations, we do have evening entertainment for our Junior, Kidz and Indy clubs as well, while our ski resorts provide babysitting for an extra charge depending on availability. And did we mention that we also have some very special spas at our sun resorts and beauty salons tucked away in some of our ski chalets? It’s the perfect excuse to treat yourself.

Are there special kitchen facilities for babies and food options for kids?

It is always important to have facilities at hand for any situation, especially when it comes to any special cooking you need to do for the little ones or having to warm a bottle late at night. Our resorts have 24 hour parents’ kitchens to prepare any special baby food with sterilisers, UHT milk, microwaves and kettles provided in this area near the crèche.

We also have high tea for kids at resorts that offer food in a children’s buffet style in the early evening so kids can get a well-balanced and healthy meal after a fun day of activities.
