Had a fabulous week, lovely location, MW staff all lovely, only thing that drags star rating is dining area, so so busy every night, plastic tables and chairs - had to wait for a table to eat almost every night, we thought it felt like a canteen. The reception staff at the hotel were so unfriendly upon arrival (we had a private transfer) which isn’t a great start had a PT session every morning with Teva who was superb - fitness at MW here is excellent

A beautiful resort so well kept and amazing food. The staff are ALL so positive and polite. Crispin, the resort manager is so engaging and is clearly a good people manager. The waterfront team, despite being clearly understaffed, work so hard and are very customer focused. Particular shout out to Jonny who is such a good instructor and excellent with customers.

We had a fabulous family holiday, with lots to do and see and explore. Beautiful location and we will definitely return. I want to give a special shout out to the Team at Mark Warner who were so helpful, going above and beyond to reunite me with my phone that I left behind. Sue and her team are amazing!

Lovely resort. The only reason for 4 stars is the holiday was overshadowed by the lack of suitable bikes for my husband and we had gone on the holiday for him to cycle. The bike staff were very unhelpful to the point of rude and this ruined the first 2 days of a 6 day holiday. Other staff were excellent

Aeolian Village Beach Resort, Lesvos

First time at Aeolian Village Beach Resort, and our fifth holiday with Mark Warner. We had a two week holiday and had a brilliant time. Whilst we both do the cycling ( thanks to Will for downloading all the rides and a few extra ! ). Mountain biking to Sigri was stunning , as was the monastry climb, also the monastry on the reservoir are stunning, we also went to Agra and Antissa, both lovely unspoilt mountain villages. We opted, to book onto intro to Padel tennis and got hooked ! Played weekly since returning home. We also had a couple of sessions intro to sailing and intro plus, lively afternoon winds in Lesvos and great tuition and support from Beth & Ben. We did three hikes, Chapel hike, the old bridleway/ track into Eresos and the remote Chrousos beach. We also gave volleyball a go one evening. I really enjoyed snd benefitted from the 30mins stretch sessions 5.30-6pm each day, appreciated Lucy’s expertise in guiding on modifications to get the most from the stretch, also and her professionalism checking in with everyone on injury history.
We would enjoy trying the cocktails in the happy hour before showering / changing for dinner. The food was superb, fresh local produce, traditional Greek dishes wonderful salads , soups and breads, fresh fish daily red snapper, hake, and my husband enjoyed the fresh mussels. Lots of vegetarian options and gluten free cereals/crackers etc and the chef was so very helpful guiding and advising which dishes contained allergens ( shellfish, crustacea ). The staff waitressing and serving drinks and looking after us a breakfast/ evening meal were so welcoming & lovely. We enjoyed the chilled (life choice) Rose wine with our meal and the staff would retain this for us. The setting on the tree canopied terrace overlooking the gardens is beautiful.
We were in room 137 in the hotel, a really good sized room air con ( nice & quiet) , with small table and two chairs inside the room , also a lovely veranda with table snd chairs, plus a lovely big shower room and generous shower cubicle with a wall mounted dispenser with body/ hair wash and additional toiletries olive oil based shampoo/ shower gel and soap. Decent white fluffy towels provided and room cleaning daily plus a turquoise pool towel ( free) and complimentary bottled water on the coach transfer from the airport and also in the fridge in hotel room. Also appreciated access to drinking water to fill our bottles was provided at all times via the restaurant, which is a great help when you get through so much bring active.
It’s also lovely to see people enjoying getting back into their sport or try something new and utilising the childcare for a few hours. Also nice to see 3 generations of family on holiday together because there is something for everyone to enjoy here. Well looked after by Alistair & team snd all the local manager & staff too.

On arrival I was really surprised to see that there is a road between the resort and the beach. Also that the beach is very scrappy. Part of the joy of my past Mark Warner holidays in Greece have been wonderful golden sandy beaches- Lakatira, San Agostino, Lemnos Corsica etc It is unfortunate that the road the resort is on is very unkempt and full of litter
On the plus side- the pools are all beautifully clean and warm and it is a joy to have an adult only pool
The baby pool was perfect for our little ones
However, it is clear that there is not nearly enough shaded area for small children and babies , and, apart from the kids club which was excellent, there is nowhere for a baby to crawl around. The keep fit area was ok but apparently had been sprayed with ant killer so not suitable for a baby. Even the children’s playground is not shaded. The sun was extremely hot. Maybe you could convert the area between the baby pool and kids club into a big shaded area with padded mats? We were impressed at how soundproofed the rooms are-we were next to a family with baby and toddler and didn’t hear a thing!
We have to comment on the sunbeds which are VERY uncomfortable-they really should have a padded mattress. Also many people were tripping on the feet that stick out and I got a really painful bruise on my toe. Also the age old problem of reserving sunbeds at the adult pool is really annoying. Some beds were left with books/bags etc in them for HOURS. There is a notice about this which is not in a good position- there should be much more clearly seen notice boards and maybe monitoring by staff
I have written all of this because I think you prefer honesty
Although the club is NOT 5star as advertised on some sites, it is very clean and comfortable. The staff are all excellent . The manager Natasha was very professional and helped us out of a difficult situation with our daughter whose arrival was delayed
The food was plentiful with a huge amount of choice- no complaints with that!

Lemnos is a very pretty and well run resort.
The rooms are serviced to a very high standard.
The food and service are exceptional, the upstairs Breakfast room with its view of the bay first thing in the morning together with dinner on the terrace with the beautiful sunset are quite spectacular.
I loved sitting on the very clean beach watching the water sports & also by the swimming pool with the energetic Aqua aerobics every morning!
The Mark Warner staff were happy and helpful. Marnie in the Beach Bar took care of our drinks & toasted sandwiches with a great sense of humour.
Emily the tennis coach was a little stretched as she was on her own.
The Social Tennis had been moved to 8am from 10am, too early for us, why ? we liked the 4.30-6.00 session was in it’s usual spot.
There was a €25 charge for the hitting sessions which we weren’t to happy about & the usual €10 for the serving clinic.
We heard good comments on the Classic Tennis course at €150 from people we met so well done Emily!
Kira & Mandy were always around to help and advise as was the GM Sue. Having been twice before with George in charge we were a little wary of what to expect but no worries the resort is in very safe hands.
This was our third visit to Lemnos. last year we went to Paleros and we were disappointed. We will definitely be returning to Lemnos!
Please MW put up the tennis program for each resort before booking as they seem to be different for each resort.
