Service rating : Although there was a lot we liked there were lots of areas where things could have been a great deal better for no extra cost. In particular the lack of provision of accurate information and the provision of wrong information meant we lost several opportunities for various activities. I the dining room the floor, tables and highchairs were not cleaned adequately or regularly, the tables were not laid we had to spend time at the start of most meals finding cutlery, chairs, highchairs, cleaning equipment. ashtrays were not emptied although the majority of guests did not smoke there were always old cigarettes on the tables. The room cleaning, sailing and child care were good except for the misinformation.
Product : I have just typed out what I thought on the previous page.
The UK staff were kind and friendly but somewhat ineffective providing wrong information, changing rules as they went along, not doing things until prompted and seemingly unaware of the difficulties of managing young children and babies. There was some yoghourt and a squashed tomato on the floor of the dining area for over 24 hours and we had reported these problems and partially cleared them up ourselves. Ash trays were not emptied regularly and fag ends were on every table even though we rarely saw guests smoking.

Service rating : Mark Warner booking process etc ok. When I rang up and asked how many boats and type that they had, all I got was 'there are sufficient boats'.
Product : As we went mainly for the dinghy sailing we were disappointed with the condition of the boats. Ripped sails, frayed rigging, jibs that would not furl/unfurl, gennakers that would not raise. I had to adjust three boats to make all work. Only one beach person launching/retrieving boats resulting in long delay's for customers in both activities. Most customers started launching and retrieving themselves. More people serving in the bar than working at waters edge.
No litter picking so first thing in morning when beach open the loungers etc were usually surrounded by empty glasses, plastic glasses and fag ends everywhere from the evening/previous days activities.
The restaurant had broken tiles and the sliding patio doors to the outside dining area looked like my dog had rubbed his nose and licked the glass. Water glasses were old and discoloured from being washed in a possibly very hot dishwasher. Lunches better than evening meal which was waiter service. I think the issue is lack of management control, possibly restricted by cost cutting, rather than the beach crew/waiters and other staff lack of ability and hence stuck with the resources management allocate.. The icing on the cake was the trip back to the airport on a heated coach (yes!!) with the outside air temperature in the mid to high 20's. With a coach driver who did not know how to turn the heating off and put the aircon on. This was a big issue with overheated infants and older generation on the coach for the 40 minutes in temperatures in the 40's. No control over the subcontractor and no plan by the staff to mitigate - water would have been good.
Sea facing rooms very good and the cycling department also good.

Service rating : Excellent facilities. Childcare was superb especially Charlie who looked after our son Herbie. She ia a real credot to mark warner and what you represent. This was the first time we had left out son so it was reasurring to know he was in such good hands the Waterfront team were excellent as keen sailors. Lovely location to have dine overlooking the beach and the beach bar was fab. Best first family holiday we could have hoped for and we look forward to returning. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly and efficiently. Effortless from the moment we got on the plane.
Product : Drinks at the beach bar. Well made and a good selection. The beer did run out on one day but appreciate this was a supplier issue so can't be helped

Staff fantastic, nothing too much trouble and enjoyed activities on offer. Maybe an idea to supply wet weather activities/alternatives for rare occasion it rains. On whole we had a great break

Service rating : Booking was ages ago but from what i remember the people were great, the website could have been a little better but no complaints at all.
Product : I hesitated between GOOD and EXCELLENT. The staff at San Lucianu were excellent but the place is let down by rather tired decoration and furnishings in the rooms. I gather that some have been re-furbished but ours wasn't - however, for the price we weren't expecting luxury so hey. Grounds are attractive and well maintained. My daughter very much enjoyed her sailing course and would like to make particular mention of her instructor Eden who was great. Food was fine, perfectly acceptable (again, given the price) and plenty of choice. We did however eat out a few times! Having wine included was an unexpected bonus and it was better than just ok. Location was good, just a short walk into the nearby small town. Flights were very good - using British Airways for the charter flights certainly improves the whole experience - and you get 23kg luggage allowance! All in all, a very enjoyable holiday.

Service rating : Booking staff and travel arrangements were first class until the return coach journey to the airport when the driver could not turn the heater off and air con on which resulted in a very uncomfortable journey to Bastia Airport.
Product : Cycling was excellent. Tennis would have been better if longer social mix in sessions available.A mix of single & double kayaks would have been preferred. Free wine with meals was an excellent surprise as were the excellent a la carte menu nights.Rooms in desperate need of refurbishment. Tea & coffee making facilities and a fridge would be nice extras as would a phone.Bar drinks too expensive. Nothing to do on site when it rains! Social table and interaction with your friendly staff and like minded holidaymakers was excellent. In short I had a very enjoyable holiday in San Lucia with room for improvement.

Service rating : All contacts with the customer service team were good and they were knowlegeable. All queries dealt with quickly and efficiently. Generally a positive experience.
Product : We paid a supplement for a sea view room and it was a nice room so we were pleased. Didn't see a mountain view room so I can't compare. A small point is that the toiletries were virtually unusable due to the ridiculous shape of the bottle which meant the shower gel couldn't come out. I heard a number of other people making similar observations. Rooms were clean and tidy. Plenty of cupboard space and hangers.
Food was good with a choice at all meals. It was nicely presented although sometimes the hot dishes could have been hotter. The coffee was appalling. Again this is a view I heard mentioned by a number of fellow guests.
The staff at the hotel and running the various activities were very good and helpful. We enjoyed the range of activities on offer and tried most things.
It is a long drive for us to get to Heathrow. I wonder if a more northerly airport e.g. Manchester would be an option which would remove the need for an overnight stay which adds to the cost. Flight times were good.
Overall a very enjoyable experience for our first foray into this style of holiday.

Product : Overall we had a great holiday, the bedroom was comfortable and clean. We booked 3 superior rooms for our party which were supposed to have a safe deposit box and a hairdryer. Neither were in our rooms. We had to ask at reception for a hairdryer. There wasn't enough for all 3 rooms so we had to share!
Food was great, service was slow and unorganised except when Luc waited at our table he was very attentive.

Service rating : Flights good, but no gluten-free and dairy-free food.

Hotel room was comfortable and clean and we appreciated the black-out curtains.
The food was good and, if we had been able to eat everything could have been varied. However, having to avoid milk in my case, and milk and gluten in my husband's we ate the same things rather too often.
The barbecue queue needs to be rethought. Having one queue of guests for everything resulted in waiting for access to the meat and fish while most of those serving meat and fish were waiting for customers.

Mostly the sailing was blissful, with helpful and friendly staff however, more 2 person boats for people aged 60+ would have been appreciated. At times, there were insufficient staff on the waterfront, resulting in a queue to come in from increasingly stormy conditions. The resolving of difficult capsizes would have been improved by having safety boats with full crew (2). There were some maintenance issues with the boats, some of which could have been avoided if there had been the possibility of hosing down sandy boats.
Our 'Big Race' course had the gybe mark near the reef resulting in massive, breaking waves (after a storm in the morning) for the most vulnerable section of the race . The gybe was followed by a dead run with the rollers coming across the beam causing unpredictable gybing and collisions. This is a staff training issue.

Transfer from hotel to airport was dreadful in that the heating was full on and the driver didn't know how to turn it off. Babies and toddlers had to be stripped, mopped down and fanned. Many others suffered too. Despite it being 30 c outside, the windows steamed up.

Service rating : All the staff we came across throughout booking and taking our holiday were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. Most were young, but intelligent and encouraged to show initiative. A refreshingly positive experience.
Product : Having read some of the reviews I had concerns about this holiday, but they proved groundless. Some people seemed to forget they had booked a 3 star hotel. We had a standard room which, while dated, was spacious and comfortable and, being mountain facing, got the afternoon sun. The food was mainly very good and varied. Yes there were some irritants in the dining room, mainly to do with coffee, but it depends on the individual how much you are going to let this irritate you.
The activities, which is what we went for, were excellent. The sailing and cycling equipment was plentiful and good quality. Taken with the activities programme we always had something to do. We'd happily use Mark Warner holidays again.

We found the service good from booking though to departing.
However, I would like to make one comment. I booked the week as it was Yoga week, and when booking I was informed that there was only one half week left (both my husband and I would have liked the half week, in order that we could do many of the other activities on offer), as a result I had to book one full week and one half week (we were not informed that we could have booked individual sessions at resort). On the Sunday at the Yoga briefing we were told that half and full sessions were available and that we could have chosen individual sessions also. I was a little upset as this meant I had to pay for something that I did not really want. I think this part of the offer needs to have better communication.

Customer Comments:

They are running this hotel on a shoestring. It is run by kids, average age 19. All of these young adults were very polite and helpful but they lacked management and direction. One example being that during our stay there was only hot water for tea in the morning 3 out of 7 days. No manager to be seen, overlooking the breakfast lay-out and sorting it. The coffee/tea making facilities are ancient (how much does a decent coffee maker cost?!) Besides that, our room was dating back to the 70's/80's with the constant sound of dripping water which we later learnt was the air conditioning system leaking. Great. Granted, they are steadily upgrading there rooms but the jump in price, in our opinion is not value for money when considering the shabby state of the hotel.
As a side note, and mainly in hindsight - we thought the child care facilities were great but in terms of safety and layout it would be very easy for someone to come in off the street, with the child's play area on the left and interfere with children playing. Security should be paramount there.

Always like Mark Warner holidays because of the activities. No different here, although only light wind sailing conditions, but had very good equipment. Excellent cycling. Most of the staff were very friendly and tried to provide a great service. Hotel a bit tired and dated but great location. Some of the food was a bit strange but always something edible and occasionally very good. Everything at Mark Warner holidays used to be all inclusive but now some things cost extra. e.g. RYA courses

Service rating : We booked in 2015 for our 2016 holiday and we're left to massively regret it. After all the reductions in services to this year's holiday, we will be waiting until the 2017 reviews start coming in.

There were a lot of other reductions, but the main issue was the childcare hours, that are now a bad joke. The quality of supervision is still good, but the hours ruined our holiday.

Not enough time to complete morning activities, a one third reduction in spa appointments that fit within the morning childcare slots and the main problem was the evenings!

They were hosting the 7-13yo children's evening entertainment in the bar (~9pm), since the kids had to be returned at 9.30pm and changing the adult evening ents, so it is aimed at kids (biscuit and marshmallow eating competitions), meaning that beach bar was over run with 7-13 year old running riot until closing time, including running between adult tables, knocking drinks off tables, stealing old drinks off the bar and making a game out of stealing beer out of the taps. If Mark Warner wants to shift the blame onto the parents, like they did when I addressed these concerns at the resort, then they can do, but the change is the reduction in evening childcare and supervision, not the parents. My kids were in the Mini's (reduced) evening service, but that option is gone for the older kids after 9.30pm.

We knew San Luc had its flaws and thought we had catered for most of them, so booked again as the major redeeming feature of San Luc was the lovely long, relaxed evenings to spend some quality time together as a couple in a nice relaxed atmosphere with that great, friendly bohemian feeling beach bar, knowing that the kids were being looked after.

San Luc isn't big enough for this new laissez faire approach, so that atmosphere was gone and the evenings were ruined: we even tried paying for extra childcare, but that meant we were still confined to that terrace, while the chaos ensued at the beach or we had to set up a defensive line of chairs at the beach.

The reports back from friends at other Mark Warners indicate that the experience is similar at other resorts, although the bigger resorts are able to cope with the kids being let loose - i.e. They're still running riot, but not in the bars, that also means now mostly out of sight. I'm not sure which is worse.

My children will start to edge into that older age group from next year and as a responsible parent, I can't send my children into that atmosphere.

After several years at various Mark Warners, it is currently off our list and we are looking at companies that offer appropriate supervision and evening entertainment for children.

Very DISAPPOINTING by the time you read this review the high season will be over for as from September the number of gusts staying will be reduced.
If you have a mountain facing standered room booked be aware they are tired and shabby as is the bedding.
The hotel operation lacked leadership from management and quality control was none existent.
Example Cleanliness in restaurant area re floor, overhead sails drinking areas beside pool just needed a good jet wash! Watch out for the plates you eat from and cups you drink from as some are dirty and chipped.....Staff courteous, apologetic and exhausted.
Water sports new equipment, instructors worked hard. However If you have 14 year old teenagers not into water sports cycling or tennis not recommended as they will be bored.
Food nothing to write home about and if you need a coffee detox this resort is perfect as there is no real coffee making machine on site.Do explore the local town which has good food.
Come on Mark Warner if you had been honest with your pictures on your website or had informed us of the quality of the room in advance and we had paid off season rates for this holiday i may have turned a blind eye to the state of your hotel and restaurant but peak rates were not value for money.. In future I will read reviews before booking and will not be voting you for a British Travel Award.

Service rating : The booking process was difficult via the website, but easy once the phone call was made to the booking office. At first I was a little anxious at the lack of information that was forwarded (booking confirmation and flight details), and e-ticket send 10 days before we travelled. However, my anxiety was not necessary as the company were very efficient from booking right through to arrival at the hotel, including assistance from the staff transferring bags between coach and room.
Product : This hotel is a little tired and in places requires refurbishment. However, this did not detract from our enjoyment of this holiday. We had a refurbished room which was clean and comfortable, with maid service every day and frequent towel changes . However, we didn't spend much time in our room (mainly we just slept there) as there was so much to do otherwise. A clothes airer on the balcony would be useful and avoid using the chairs provided to get wet clothes dry.
We had no issues with the food - there was hot and cold (English based) choices at every meal (including breakfast), and the Pizzeria was a good fall back if all else failed (which happened only once in the whole week). The a la carte service was variable in speed - sometimes good, sometimes slow. However, the food was worth waiting for.
We thoroughly enjoyed the waterfront activities, and the childcare was excellent - one of the great things is being able to book the kids in for an hour, or three, depending on what you are doing and what they want to do. Booking childcare in the Uk when booking the holiday is advisable as I heard of one or two who couldn't get their kids in to the activites.
This holiday works on all levels for all members of the family. There is loads to do for the adrenaline junkies, plenty of things for the kids to get involved with, and the ability just to chill at the beach, in the gardens or by the pool if you want to. Whatever you choose to do, there is no pressure to do anything if you don't want to - such a refreshing change.
I think it helped that all staff were English (except Cleaners), and that the hotel is purely dedicated to Mark Warner guests.
We are looking forward to booking our next Mark Warner holiday (which will be our 2nd), we just cant decide if we want to go back to San Luciano or try Sardinia or Greece.

Service rating : We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday overall. I particularly liked the relaxed atmosphere, small size of the complex, truly excellent childcare and fantastically well organised water sports, cycling, tennis and exercise classes.

However, we were very disappointed by the food and the shabbiness of the hotel. For the very expensive price tag, we were not expecting cracked tiles in the food hall, tired carpets and dirty sails over the food area.

Overall staff provided excellent service and were friendly. We would have liked more help in organizing a family outing given that we were there for two weeks.
Product : Three star hotel with three star food and surroundings. All food clean and fresh, but lacked finesse. Would be fine for some hotels, but the MW price tag means that the food and surroundings are a disappointment.

Childcare program is varied, fun and very safe with 100% UK staff. Safety of the waterspouts is exemplary with two safety boats and a watch tower. Bike rides varied and beautiful. tennis fun and lots of court availability plus people to play with. Lisa's exercise classes fab for all abilities and in the perfect setting.

My family ranges from 16 to 7. We all learnt something new and had a great family time.

Service rating : The service during booking was excellent. The service during travel and the sports staff (especially the head tennis coach , Jamie) , and reception and housekeeping team were all excellent. They were very attentive and made the journey and stay very smooth

However the food service staff were untrained and did not anticipate the needs of the guests. Eg. They continually needed to be asked for mugs at breakfast, cutlery, replenishment of items that had run out.

A la carte dinners were extremely slow and staff unaware of who had had their order taken and who was on each course.

The bar staff were friendly but one young lady (jade)used her hands ( no gloves) to shovel ice into a non alcoholic cocktail and also having realised a glass was broken, then tipped the ice and drink from this glass into a new one potentially with bits of broken glass as well.
Product : The holiday itself was enjoyable. Transport good, sports facilities really excellent. Upgraded bedroom was perfect and had everything that it was supposed to have. Tennis coaching courses were very good . Pool was lovely and clean. Didn't do water sports but they looked good. Cycling was really good . Great that all equipment was provided

Food was hit and miss. Breakfast excellent quality but continually ran out of essentials. A la carte food was OK and BBQ night. Lunch was great especially the pizzas but buffet dinners were dire. Unappealing, tough meat, over cooked pasta . Weird combinations (who has ever heard of celery and banana salad?). We had to go out when we knew it was a third night of buffet . Shame there weren't pizzas in the evening as that could have enhanced the food. People that had been last year said the food was much better in 2015

Had the food been more enjoyable I would definitely have scored this holiday with an 'excellent'. It is a big part of a holiday and was disappointing

Service rating : You understand your market and offer a good product.
Product : You would have heard this many times before - poor décor and old hotel. We have been to San Luc before...but this time there was a distinct lack of hands on management. The entertainment is now very 'Hi-di-hi'. Restaurant was poor - dirty and not managed (we are directly comparing with this time last year). Seemed to us that there was a cost cutting exercise going on across the operation. Having said all that - bikes, tennis and waterfront were all great. Would we go again - no. Would we recommend San Luc - well we did and now we are embarrassed.

We loved our holiday of 2 weeks in Corsica. Yes; the accommodation is a little tired and needs a bit of attention to the small things but that didn't dampen our sprints to having a fabulous experience with Mark Warner. My first time with Mark Warner, which I will definitely do again. Thanks to all the staff across the board from childcare, customer service , restaurant and beach front staff for a truly enjoyable holiday experience.

Wonderfully enthused staff, genuinely cannot do enough for you.
Breakfast and lunch just scrummy....supper a bit hit and miss.
Great atmosphere around beach bar, but at times staff flustered.
Some outstanding staff, Wayne total gold star. Will and Rachel on waterfront and Helen in restaurant, with a huge smile everyday.
Place was very clean and grounds superb, but due to an issue with the major, beach messy.....really needs tidying up.
All in all thoroughly recommend.

Service rating : Our room was dirty and smelt bad. The food was poorly prepared and close to inedible I would be surprised if there were no cases of food poisoning. The tea and coffee facilities very inadequate. The dining area was filthy with a very dirty floor and old bird droppings on the rails and roof.Even the cutlery and crockery was often dirty with food waste. . The gardens are nice and the sports equipment good although the pools are old and in need of renovation
I would strongly recommend not to stay here.
Product : Poor value for money. Unpleasant dirty room. Old hotel not kept clean with a very poor dirty dining hall and very poor catering. Grounds quite pretty and well maintained , Sports facilities good although pools are old and tired. Avoid

Service rating : Straightforward booking however, full details of holiday not given with initial quote on holiday, i.e as it was a last minute holiday, there was only one childcare place available for my eldest child (12). As a single parent with two children, my (8 year old) had no place. I asked if they could offer alternatives (agent suggested sailing course at a 50% reduction and tennis at full price).
Product : San Lu is a very dated 3 star hotel with a warm heart. Fantastic young, happy team are carrying this operation which made up for the lack of management presence. Sailing school facilities and staff excellent. Quiet resort considering hotel was full, well planned out activity programme. Food in restaurant ok, buffet service in the main,a la carte service at dinner doesn't work, long wait on food. Overall, enjoyable holiday.

Service rating : This is the second Mark Warner summer holiday we have been on. The Corsica resort was down at heel...there was litter around the bar and deck chair area, the restaurant floor was not swept or washed with food debris from the night before. Food standard was not nearly as good as in Sardinia last year where for example we had different fresh fish cooked on griddles in front of you every lunch and dinner and a huge selection of salads and fruit. The food service in Corsica seemed a real struggle for them. The beach front and sports teams were as always v helpful. We felt it was an expensive holiday and not actually value for the money we paid £5000 for a family of four for 1 week.
Product : Scruffy. No one picking up litter.
staff left to their own devices with no obvious managerial supervision
staff hanging around the bar drinking at same time as guests at all times of the day
food service often slow although staff v enthusiastic
food disappointing with popular items not replenished
coffee provision appalling with 2 domestic filter machines supposed to meet demand
water sports staff , cycling and tennis staff amazing although you got the impression they were trying to sell courses and make as much extra from you as they could out of what is a v expensive holiday anyway.
Corsican weather was amazing and great wind for sailing. The kids had a great time as did we although we were as you can tell disappointed with everything but the sports and staff .

Service rating : Knowledgeable and patient booking staff
Product : Great to see MW have invested in new sports equipment, and clearly installed very positive and helpful attitides in their staff. OK, so the hotel will always look like the era it was built in and if you have a mountain-facing room, be prepared for the basic with some essential items missing (bin, clothes dryer for the balcony) but that's not what you go to San Lucianu for.
Excellent sailing, tennis, and cycle staff, cannot be faulted for their knowledge and tireless assistance.
Jury's still out on evening 'a la carte' dining.....great to relax and not to have a rush, spilt food, dodgy hygiene practices of the constant buffet, but maybe a little more imagination into the menu itself, rather than often re-hashing lunch left-overs. & Saturday night food, big disappointment for the first evening there (I was there 2 weeks so surprised it was the same relatively poor choice both Saturdays)
However, I've been to various other MW summer resorts, & I find this the best by a country mile. They have a winning formula here with various parts of the above, but primarily because of the size. Witth a maximum of 250 guests (I believe) it doesn't feel like it's full, across the pools or gardens, which all makes for a very convivial atmosphere.

Service rating : Booking staff were very good- helpfull curtious and clear.
The company's concept remains brilliant and, on the whole, well exicuted
Product : Front of house staff were very good at the resort- eficient and problem solving.
We were disapointed that the management appeared a little removed , seldom seen.
It was dissapointing when ALL the outboards ( and so all safety boats) were out of commision at the same time- and so the safety was limited to one low Hp rented boat. This ment less eficient sail teaching and the number of boats allowed on the water was also limited.
This is not the kind of service we expected from a holiday from Mark Warner. It does little for your reputation and makes us wonder if your standards are dropping and whether to book with you again.
The 'Beach crew' played it down but they were obviously a bit embarressed. The beach crew were a delight and always so helpful and keen to ensure every one got the best boat for their skill, were able to improve and have fun.
I especially enjoyed my "zero to hero" corse and am going to continue sailing now I am home.
Bar staff and cycle staff were also very considerate and polite.
Over all a very good holiday. Thank you.

Service rating : Very efficient service. Loved the fact that everything including transfer, hotel and flights were all organised for us.
Product : The flight was fabulous. Only Mark Warner customers on it and lovely staff. Met by Mark Warner staff who were great when one of our bags had not arrived. There was no fuss and they sorted everything for us. Bag arrived 2 days later. When we drove up to the hotel I must admit I felt disappointed as it is a horrible terracotta colour and it feels dated. The interior is a little shabby but the rooms were very comfortable. Fabulous shower, lots of hot water. Wonderful views over the gardens and down towards the sea. After a few hours we felt completely at ease and so relaxed completely. We then realised that the charm of the place is it's shabbiness as we felt relaxed wandering around in swimwear etc., The staff were exceptional. All were young, friendly and enthusiastic. Our 3 children loved their company and they were always kind and patient with them. All the kids club were fantastic offering a wide variety of activities. During the second week our youngest was on a waiting list for his club, which was a shame and something I feel Mark Warner need to look into as all children on this holiday should have a place as it is part of the package. However, all the kids then did a wonderful sailing course. Peter loves sailing and he was out at least once a day. He also went cycling and our 13 year old daughter cycled on a road for the first time when cycling to the waterfall; a great experience. The food was varied but they should provide a 2 week menu as it was disappointing that we had the same menu the second week. The waiting staff were great. We had never been on a holiday like this before and it was a fantastic success. We loved how small the resort was so we always knew where our children were but they had their independence to explore; a wonderful combination. Peter and I returned from our holiday relaxed and refreshed. This is the first time we have felt like this after a holiday since having children and so a BIG thank you from us. Karen

Service rating : The service during the holiday was outstanding. The staff loved the activities and their enthusiasm was infectious. All three of my children - 8-13 yo girls - were entertained, educated and loved in equal measure. Carefree and happy children meant a happy holiday for me.
Product : The equipment and standard of instruction was only topped by the enthusiasm of the staff. My girls loved the staff, had a great time in the clubs and met some wonderful friends.
The food was great, although the menu could have changed on the second week. The hotel was good but I am glad that I chose the upgrade of sea view and renovated rooms. They could have more properly adjoining rooms - ours was meant to be but it turned out that they were next door to one another. The beach volleyball court needs to be overhauled: stones removed and proper sand brought in. (Not a problem if you don't want to play.) Finally the bar was very expensive - £5 for an ice cream and £6 for a Hieneken.
Other than those minor detractors, it was a superb holiday.

We have traveled many times (over 20) with Mark Warner and love the overall package and concept. Perfect for us as we have children aged 10 and 7 years old and love watersports, tennis and fitness. My only comment is that Mark Warner does need to invest in (or sort out with the local owner) better Maintenance and refurbishment as some parts are getting very tired and slightly dangerous (broken tiles in restaurant and pool areas).

Customer Comments:

We have been to Kos twice which we thought was excellent. By contrast, San Lucianu was informal and unsophisticated.
Our room, 327, was dingy with a threadbare carpet and ramshackle shutters which grated when moved. The plug in the basin leaked and we had to ask for a replacement. The TV was u/s and remained so for the week. There were no coffee making facilities, and no hair drier. We then went to a meeting of the Kids Club shown on the noticeboard for 5 pm to be told that it had happened at 4 pm. Not a good start.
The dining room was somewhat disappointing. The young UK based waiting staff were unsupervised, and we sometimes had to wait to be served when staff were standing about unoccupied.
The filter coffee at breakfast was poor. One unheated coffee pot sitting on the worktop which was often cold, and if it was empty, then we had to wait 5 minutes for more.
Then the fruit on display was unripe and not ready to eat; melon, pears and apricots were hard and tasteless, and because they were kept cold, they never became tasty.
Our room and the building generally, were very well cleaned.
Despite these things, my wife and family had a pleasant holiday, thank you, but it could have been better, and if we don't remark on these things, they will remain unchanged.
