Introducing Our Specialist Adult Beginner Ski Holidays

26 Sep 2016

Learn to stop and parallel-turn in no time – and have fun while you’re at it! – in the popular French Alps resort of Tignes and Val d’Isere ski area.

Skiing is addictive, as you’ll discover during one of our new adult beginner ski holidays. One of several exciting and exclusive specialist weeks that have been introduced by Mark Warner for the 2016/17 season, these courses take all the hassle out of booking your first ski holiday as well as ensuring that you’re learning to ski with like-minded guests who are on the same level as you, with all the sense of camaraderie that that brings. You can also opt to gather a group of your friends and combine a group holiday with a specialist week.

Snow-sure Tignes is the ideal place for learning to ski, with generous nursery slopes right on the doorstep of our comfy and welcoming Chalet Hotel l'Ecrin, together with plenty of blue runs on which to progress. There’s plenty more fun to be had here both on and off the slopes, including bobsleighing on the fantastic track that was built in the resort for the 1992 Winter Olympics, plus dog-sledding and piste-bashing.

You could also try to fit in snowmobiling, snow-shoeing, sledging, ice-climbing, ice-skating, geo-caching, paragliding and even snow mountain-biking, while up on the glacier there’s an ice cave and grotto to explore, complete with ice sculptures. And if you fancy some time warm and snug indoors, there’s also swimming, bowling and a cinema within the resort.

Our beginner weeks are hosted on 29th January and 12th March 2017, with prices starting at £719, including return flights, transfers, accommodation, breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner, five mornings of ski school, a six-day lift-pass and ski-equipment hire.
