Delicious cuisine at Val d’Isère

With a number of traditional and international restaurants, you will not find yourself short for food choices. Work up an appetite on the slopes and then head down to some of the best Val d’Isère restaurants, bars, and pubs in the area. You can choose from Italian, European, American or traditional Savoyarde cuisine. Whether you are looking for fine dining options or relaxed, casual settings, there is something to suit everyone. If you happen to get hungry while skiing the pristine snowy mountains, ski down to one of the resorts cosy bars and lounges to refuel and rehydrate.

For cheese enthusiasts, it is a must that you indulge in the rich melted cheesy goodness of the famous French dishes of raclette and fondue. Such dishes are most enjoyed when partnered with a delicious glass of wine. For those who would prefer to wash their wine down with something sweet, try out the heavenly chocolate fondue.

Après ski

An important part of any ski holiday, enjoying an après ski beverage after a long day on the slopes is an integral part of day skiing and nowhere does après better than Val d’Isère. Home to the first La Folie Douce, no trip to Val d’Isère is complete without experiencing all of the grandeur and extravagance of the Folie Douce après parties. Located at the top of the La Daille gondola visitors can either take the gondola back to the resort or ski down.

By day you can relax on the sun terrace with a nice refreshment and by mid-afternoon, you can experience exciting entertainment from DJs and live bands until the lift closes. There is no better way to party than to sip on a tasty refreshment overlooking stunning mountainous scenery. As well as La Folie Douce, there are also a number of other après bars located both on the mountain and in Val d’Isère town. Skiers can also head over to the bars in the neighbouring town of Tignes which is part of the combined ski area. Just make sure you don’t miss the last lift back.

Before hitting the clubs, chill out with a quiet drink at some of the most relaxing Val d’Isère bars and pubs. This is the perfect way to unwind and ease yourself into your night ahead.
