We’re actively seeking to recruit French or German speaking Resort Customer Hosts to come work in our superb chalet hotels located in top European ski resorts. Whether you are looking for a short-term challenge or a career in the travel industry, Mark Warner offers a rewarding adventure and some fantastic opportunities.

Our customer services team is responsible for ensuring all guests receive the highest levels of customer service at all times. You will display an enthusiastic and positive attitude, lead by example, and inspire others by adopting a high profile and strongly felt presence with guests and throughout the chalet hotel.

It’s not all work and no play though! You could learn a new sport, get out on the mountain or explore exciting new places with like-minded friends.

We’ve a strong management team that provides on-going support and training. There’s a development programme for career progression with the prospect to work year-round in one of our Mediterranean beach resorts during the summer months. Our winter programme operates from December through to April.

Main Responsibilities

  • To support the local Head of Customer Services
  • Manage reception area and ensure we offer a full range of guest services
  • Maintain a high profile and ensure regular positive contact with guests throughout their stay
  • To perform general reception duties and deal with all guest administration
  • To deal with guest issues, escalating to relevant manager immediately
  • Assist guests in the event of illness/accident or any health and safety related matter
  • To prepare and maintain notice boards and other guest literature as may be required
  • To deal with computer input of all flight and hotel room manifests.
  • To participate in and conduct guest transfers to and from the airport as required
  • To provide ski desk services morning and afternoon and/or as required
  • To organise social group skiing for guests according to demand
  • To assist at ski school meeting point
  • To build and maintain positive relationships with local suppliers
  • To organise lift passes, ski hire and ski school on transfer day
  • To organise and present evening entertainments (in support of bar operation)

Abilities and Skills

  • Fluent in French or German
  • Hard working
  • Present a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Ability to carry out tasks efficiently
  • Calm demeanour

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience of one of our resorts desired but not essential
  • Ability to ski or board desired but not essential
  • UK/EU Passport holder
  • UK National Insurance Number
  • UK bank account
  • Fluency in the native language of the country of operation (French, German, Italian) is desirable but not essential
