At the
Intercontinental Abu Soma
and San Agostino beach
resorts we offer kitesurfing instruction and BKSA
(British Kite Surfing Association) courses.
Unbeatable Kitesurfing Conditions in Egypt
Reliable warm winds, glorious sunshine and
clear, calm waters make our Egyptian resort an ideal
kitesurfing holiday destination, for both beginners and the more
experienced. There are two fantastic areas used
for kitesurfing namely:
Kite Beach: An area north of our waterfront, reached
by boat. The area has both shallow and deep water and is ideal for
teaching and independent kitesurfing.
The Spit: Situated just downwind of the waterfront and
is the area used for independent and recreational
kitesurfing.
San Agostino, Greece. Perfect for Beginners
At San Agostino, conditions are ideal for people
learning to kitesurf and to qualify at BKSA Level 1 stage. To
help you get to grips with the sport we'll give you a 1 hour land
based 'power kiting session' for free.
Recognised by the British Kitesurfing
Association
We offer a variety of
pre-bookable BKSA courses at
Abu Soma, and at our
San Agostino resort a taster course and BKSA level
1. Our instructors are all BKSA trained and
qualified.
Recreational Kite surfing
We can offer recreational kitesurfing at
Abu Soma. This is however
subject to assessment of your skills by one of our kitesurfing
instructors. Please bring proof of your qualification (minimum IKO
level 2/ BKSA level 2) and your own 3rd party liability insurance
(available from BKSA website
www.kitesurfing.org). For
safety and rescue cover and storage of personal equipment there is
a weekly charge of £40 per person.
Guest can hire equipment for approximately 30 Euros for a 2 hour
session.
