Some ski
resorts are more attractive for beginner skiers than others.
First time skiers and boarders should be looking at resorts with a
good ski school and an inexpensive local beginner lift pass. The
resort should have good nursery slopes and easy longer runs to
progress to. A high proportion of green and blue runs on the piste
maps indicates a resort that is particularly well suited to
inexperienced and first time skiers.
Out of the resort we have on offer we would
advise beginners to go to the following;
Val
d'Isere, France
Not only is Val d'Isere world famous, it is also
a good resort for beginners who not only want to ski, but also
experience the atmosphere of a big ski resort with plenty of shops,
bars, restaurants and non-skiing activities, including a sports
centre and ice rink. Starting on the nursery slopes in the middle
of the resort, beginners progress to easy runs in breathtaking
scenery above the tree line.
We have three chalethotels in Val d'Isere;
Chalethotel Val
d'Isere
Chalethotel Cygnaski
Chalethotel Moris
Tignes,
France
Although Tignes is smaller than its Espace Killy
(the ski area) partner Val d'Isere it is perfect for those looking
for a slighty slower pace. There are still many bars and
restaurants , but everything is on a more intimate scale. Beginners
are well catered for with a good selection of wide nursery slopes.
Off the slopes there is the wonderful swimming pool and wellness
centre in Tignes Le Lac.
We have two chalethohtels in Tignes;
Chalethotel Hauts de
Toviere
Chalethotel Aiguille
Percee

nursery slopes which are close to our hotel are varied and perfect
to get started on. The ski school we work with also meets right
outside the hotel.
