Kitesurfing In Egypt
Abu Soma
is internationally renwoned as offering some of the best
kitesurfing conditions in the world, with consistent cross
shore breezes and a huge shallow bay for teaching.
There are two kite surfing areas at Abu
Soma;
Kite Beach: This is an area North of the
Waterfront Centre, guests are transported to by boat. The area has
both shallow and deep water and is ideal for teaching and
independent kite surfing.
The Spit: This is just downwind
of the waterfront and is a great area for independent kite
surfers.

We offer a variety of pre-bookable BKSA (British
Kite Surfing Association) courses at Abu Soma and at our
San Agostino resort a taster
course and BKSA level 1. Please see below for more information and
costs.
All our instructors are BKSA trained and
qualified.
Recreational Kite Surfing
We can offer recreational kite surfing at Abu
Soma. This is however subject to assessment of your skills by our
kite surfing instructor. Please bring proof of your qualification
(minimum IKO level 2/ BKSA level 2) and your own 3rd party
liability insurance (available from BKSA website
www.kitesurfing.org). For
safety and rescue cover and storage of personal equipment there is
a weekly charge of £40 per person.
Guests can hire kitesurfing equipment for
approximately 30 Euros for a 2 hour session.
