Dining
With 4 restaurants to choose from, there's
plenty on the menu at Abu Soma. Dining is on a half board basis
with breakfast and dinner served in the main restaurant (which is
included in your holiday price). The resort also has 3 speciality
restaurants - a Greek, Italian or Lebanese. A lunch buffet is
served daily in the main restaurant. If you choose to dine in one
of the speciality restaurants, a dinner allowance will be applied
to your bill.
Watersports
Where to start? The consistent cross-shore
breezes and flat water at Abu Soma make this beach resort world
class for watersports. We
offer windsurfing,
sailing and
kitesurfing tuition to all
levels and provide a wide selection of dinghies and
windsurfers.
Waterskiing and
wakeboarding are available on a pay as you ski basis, and there
is a PADI scuba dive centre
in the resort (courses pre-bookable in the UK). For more

Tennis Coaching
Newly built in 2008, Abu Soma now
boasts three new hard painted courts. Racquets and
balls are available to hire, and courts can be booked for play free
of charge. Individual or group tennis lessons are
available with our own resident coach.
Other Activities
There are too many fascinating excursions to
list, but The Intercontinental Abu Soma is perfectly located for a
trip to Luxor, or a felluca ride across the Nile to the West Bank
for a visit to the Valleys of the Kings and Queens.
Adults
Abu Soma is perfect for groups of friends and
couples, not only does it have a range of watersports and
activities we also put on social evening throughout the week so
guests can mix and meet new people. Events including a beach bbq
and social sit down dinners.
This July and August solo travellers can also enjoy a reduced
single supplement of £125.
Childcare
We operate 4
childrens clubs from 3
years upwards, from our air-conditioned purpose built
childcare centre. There is a children's paddling pool integrated
into the main swimming pool and an outdoor children's play area. We
organise fun, supervised activities for children of all ages from
infants to teenagers.
