Road cycling at Levante Beach Resort

A cyclist's dream! Rhodes island offers smooth, traffic-light open roads and guests at Mark Warner’s Levante Beach Resort will be able to take to these roads and enjoy the hills immediately behind the local towns of Afandou and Kalithies with some sharp, punchy climbs and stunning sea views.

The choice is yours

From an entry-level aluminium Cannondale CAAD 8 Claris or upgrade to a premium fully carbon-frame Cannondale SuperSix Evo Ultegra you'll thoroughly enjoy the terrain this island has to offer. You may hanker to explore under your own steam or take a guided tour. If it's the latter, our fantastic cycling guides offer intermediate to challenging tours, lasting 1 to 5 hours and cover 30 to 90km.

Young, budding cycling enthusiasts

We are happy for our younger guests (13 – 17 years) to join in if they can comfortably fit onto an adult bike and into a helmet, all we ask is that a parent or guardian accompanies them.

Sample tour - Kalithies

Course Kalithies

This tour is physically intense and begins with a 4km flat warm-up. The route heads north through Afandou, passing the town square and church. Next is a 5km intense tarmac climb. The route will then contour for several kilometres before sweeping through some very quick downhill bends.

After passing through the town of Kalithies, all of the hard work put in on the initial climb is rewarded with a long and fast asphalt descent and pan flat finale along the promenade of Afandou Bay. A hugely enjoyable tour that includes all aspects of a great road ride.

A steep climb following the canopy covered switchback road takes the tour to the summit of Profitis Ilias. From here riders are rewarded for their efforts with an exhilarating fast descent through Elouesa and Archipoli before returning to Levante.
