Located in the north-eastern part of the Aegean Sea, the island of Lemnos, like many of the Greek Islands, lends itself ideally to sailing. Mark Warner’s Lemnos Beach Resort is superbly situated right on the water’s edge, giving you direct access to some of the best sailing conditions on the island.

Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced sailor, our experienced instructors at Lemnos Beach Resort are on hand to ensure you make the most of your time on the water. Guests at the resort can take part in free lessons throughout their stay or sign up and go through a dedicated course with a fully qualified RYA instructor.

Our Sailing Regatta Week will take place this summer at Lemnos Beach Resort on the week of the 27th June 2025.  Designed for anyone interested in dinghy racing (with the emphasis on ‘racing’) be it to learn, improve or just looking to have some fun racing. This week involves a variety of fun and competitive dinghy and multihull racing, coupled with race tuition, clinics and feedback sessions to boost your performance.

On the approach into Kratikos Airport, you’ll notice that much of the southside of the island is comprised of sheltered bays. Lemnos Beach Resort is fortunate to be in one of the best bays in the area, with near-perfect wind conditions and warm weather throughout the summer months.

The waters around the resort are excellent for sailing, especially if you’re a novice to the sport. Winds will stay between 2-3 on the Beaufort scale in the morning, which helps make it easier for instructors to guide you through movements and sail control on the water. If you’re lying on the beach in the afternoon you’ll notice many people who want a bit of fun, will try their luck against the wind as it picks up for speed and creates the opportunity to improve turns.

Windsurfing

Intermediate paradise

This all-round resort is great for windsurfers, especially intermediates. Beginners will excel in the light morning winds and can practice their balance and control while intermediate windsurfers take to the waters in the afternoons as the winds pick up for some great blasting across the bay.  

We offer beginner windsurfers a selection of superb courses ranging from tester mornings to week long courses for those looking to really improve. Lemnos Beach Resort is an excellent location for beginners to get to grips with windsurfing thanks to its light morning winds

If you've dabbled in windsurfing before and are looking for a little bit more of a challenge, Lemnos has the perfect water conditions for you! When the wind begins to pick up a little bit in the late mornings to afternoons, you will notice the water becoming slightly choppier and a little more challenging. Our experts are available to help you get to grips with the skills and offer a refresher before you set off if you require it. 

If you find windsurfing a breeze, then wait until the wind really picks up in Lemnos. With some of the best winds for competitive windsurfing we are confident you will love your stay here with us. We can supply all your required equipment and if you’re feeling a bit rusty then we can go over some of the skills you might need to brush up on.

Waterskiing and Wakeboarding

Get out on the water

It’s hard to find a better environment to learn to waterski or wakeboard in than the waters around Lemnos Beach. Our instructors will take you through the basics of waterskiing and wakeboarding before getting you out on the water to put your newly learned skills to the test. Some people prefer waterskiing (using two skis) others wakeboarding (one single board) so be sure to try both. 

If you are looking to quickly progress through the ranks it is common for our guests to advance from a beginner to an intermediate level by the end of their holiday. 

We will offer pre-bookable waterski and wakeboard packages at Lemnos Beach Resort. The minimum age for waterskiing is 8 years old. Packages can be used by multiple members of a family or a party, so a family of 4 are welcome to pre-book the 4 x waterski/wakeboard tow package and have a tow each. A 10 minute dry land session is also included in these packages. Session times will be organised in resort.

Perfect your serve

Whether you fancy a knock around with friends or coaching from one of our onsite instructors, the tennis and pickleball courts at Lemnos Beach are fully equipped with all you need for a great hit on the courts. Our LTA trained tennis coaches are on hand to guide you, whatever your ability in our private or group courses, clinics and lessons for guests of all ages. For something a little less serious, join our nightly Social Racquets events where you can have a gentle knock around or try your hand at pickleball. 

At Lemnos Beach Resort, we have 2 hard courts for tennis and 2 pickleball courts.

Ride on

Our fantastic cycling centre at Lemnos Beach Resort offers quality facilities for both road cycling and mountain biking. 

Let our guides lead you round the island's breath-taking scenery during a free road biking tour ranging from easy to challenging, lasting between 1 to 5 hours and covering a distance of 30km to 90km. 

If mountain biking is more your thing, they are available to hire free of charge as part of a guided tour or to borrow and explore at your leisure.

Personal Training (PT) sessions

We offer personal training sessions created by London-based PT specialists Equals Results at our Lemnos Beach Resort. 

Ideal for guests who want to keep up their regular workouts whilst on holiday, or for those who would like to try out a PT experience for the first time, the sessions will be run by expert Mark Warner Fitness Instructors, in conjunction with the team at Equals Results.
