High in the scenic French Alps
Tignes is a ski resort with a wide range of activities, both on
and off the slopes. Beginners are well catered for with gentle
nursery runs whilst expert skiers and snowboarders love this
fabulous high altitude snow
sure location.
Centred around three villages
The resort forms part of the extensive Espace Killy ski area
which covers the popular neighbouring
Val d'Isere. It's easy to
ski or snowboard between the two resorts.
Tignes really comes into its own for advanced and intermediate
skiers
The famous Grande Motte glacier is just minutes away (via the
underground funicular lift). Here, red and blue pistes drop from
over 3000 metres down into the resort.
Other lovely runs
These include the memorable Sache black which takes you through
a picturesque valley and charming villages. Or you can try out the
mogul run from Toviere, or ski home from Le Lac on a relaxed blue
run.
Off the slopes
There's almost too much to do! Choose between shops,
paragliding, lively bars, two cinemas, snow rafting contests,
bowling, sleigh rides with huskies, ice diving and much, much
more.
