Lively and colourful
Les Deux Alpes is one of the oldest and most affordable of the
French ski resorts. Utterly charming, it's set high in the Dauphine
region of the Southern Alps and, with an above average amount of
sunshine, it's a superb place to ski or snowboard.
Quality and quantity
200km of pistes and an impressive snow record ensure that this
resort caters for all levels of skier or snowboarder. Spacious
nursery slopes and easy runs on the Glacier du Mont de Lans make
this a great safe place for beginners.
Beautifully diverse
Experiment off-piste on the main mountain, catch some rays on
the sunny Pied Moutet, or venture down to the pretty village of
Bons. The extensive lift network can take more advanced skiers
further afield.
A treat for snowboarders
If you prefer one board to two skis, there's a specialist snow
boarding school and snowpark with boarder cross and a
half-pipe.
Something different
There are lots of things to see and do away from the slopes.
Cobbled streets, craft shops and traditional restaurants make a
trip to the quaint village of Venosc particularly worthwhile. You
can also marvel at impressive ice sculptures, go ice skating or try
out the ice dodgems.
