For stronger skiers, the seemingly endless possibilities include famous off-piste runs such as the Vallée Blanche into Chamonix and the Toula Glacier in the shadow of Mont Blanc, and access to some of the best-value heli-skiing in Europe (in the company of a a mountain guide). The Vallée Blanche glacial descent into Chamonix is one you'll never forget.
It’s worth noting that those booking ski holidays in Courmayeur have the opportunity to venture into two other ski areas as well – from La Thuile you can ski to La Rosière in the Espace San Bernardo.
A popular weekend chose with Italians driving up from Milan, Turin and Genoa, Courmayeur has the advantage of being uncrowded during the week, meaning you have a good chance of having the slopes all to yourself.
