Snow Report - Val d'Isere

Thursday the 8th of December was a good early season day in for both of France’s mountain ranges. The best conditions are undoubtedly around the Southern Alps, which benefited most from the second dump of the season that occurred towards the end of November. Resorts like Serre Chevalier (0/145cm) (opened today), Montgenevre (70/180cm), Vars (25/110cm) and Isola 2000 (30/100cm) have slope in good condition, though off-piste is variable and certainly not fresh. Great skiing also on offer in Tignes (40/140cm) and Val d’Isere (5/140cm), as well as Val Thorens (60/135cm). It’s a hot day all over France, so don’t forget your sun cream, a bottle of water and a couple of bananas to keep you going.
