Thursday the 1st of December was a beautiful day across the French Alps, with clear blue skies and glorious sunshine for most. Still only a handful of open ski areas, but this is all set to change this weekend: Serre Chevalier (0/145cm), Cauterets (35/50cm) and Font Romeu (10/30cm) in the Pyrenees are among the resorts set to provide winter sports. Of the open resorts, Tignes (42/155cm) and Val d’Isere (5/150cm) are offering some great skiing, along with Montgenevre (70/130cm), which was lucky enough to get some new snow last week.
