Beach Manager
We are actively seeking experienced and qualified Beach Managers to come work in one of our stunning beach resorts.
You will assist the Waterfront Manager with the day-to-day operation of the waterfront. This diverse and exciting role will encompass many areas from staff management to health and safety. You will ensure all guests have a fun, safe experience whilst enjoying the watersports activities on offer.
We have a strong management team that provides on-going support and training. This position is available from April or May through to October or November. There’s a possibility of year-round employment joining our winter team in one of our chalet hotels found in top European ski resorts.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure department delivers a high level of safety and instruction for guests and staff
- Provide instruction to guests and staff participating on specialist courses
- Support the Waterfront Manager
- Manage and motivate the waterfront team
- Produce a course plan accommodating all guest abilities
- Implement Mark Warner standards and ensure these are adhered to at all times
- Establish and implement water safety precautions
- Partake in additional waterfront responsibilities including safety cover, customer service, shore-break duties and pontoon management
- Manage daily maintenance, upkeep security of the waterfront and its equipment
- Action in-resort marketing activities and promotions
- Oversee Race day and prize-giving
- Assist Waterfront Manager with a staff training plan and evaluate all training undertaken by your team
- Ensure your team are motivated, appraised and developed positively
- Manage rotas and budgets
- Participate in evening entertainments, guest dinners and social activities

- Experience or working knowledge of Kayaking and Stand Up Paddleboarding
Essential Requirements
- RYA Senior Dinghy, Windsurf or Dual qualified Instructor
- RYA Powerboat Instructor or RYA Safety Boat
- RYA Multihull, Advanced Dinghy or Racing Instructor endorsements desired but not essential
- International Certificate of Competence (ICC) desired
- First Aid Certificate
- UK/EU Passport holder
- UK National Insurance Number
- UK bank account
