the experts when it comes to maintaining style standards in and out
of the water!
When choosing your swimwear for this year's summer break,
do take time to consider your requirements:
• Will you be doing lots of swimming or are you focusing on
sunbathing and looking fabulous?
• Do you plan to take part in any water sports - if so, you
may need an option that is practical as well as stylish
• Understand your body shape and make the most of your
assets (for more info see below)
• Try
on swimwear before you head for the airport as it's important you
feel confident and comfortable so you can thoroughly relax
• If you're holidaying with your children remember you may
have to do a lot of running around the pool, so invest in some
fabulous kaftans and cover ups for extra comfort - or think about
buying a tankini and bikini that match so you have flexibility
while poolside.
• Remember that accessories can really bring a piece of
swimwear to life
• Don't be afraid to mix and match swimwear to get the
right combination for you. Almost all SwimHut bikini and
tankini tops and pants are sized separately, so you can select the
right combination and make sure you get the perfect fit for
both
Choosing styles to suit your body shape...
Women:
• If you're pear-shaped… don't be afraid to show
more not less of your hips and legs. Although banded pants give you
extra coverage and flexibility, making legs longer and leaner and
giving definition to the waistline, tie side pants can often give
you a more streamlined shape and take the focus away from the hip
area. Also try a darker coloured pant with brighter top to flatter
the figure - a reversible bikini may give you all the options you
need. SwimHut also has a terrific range of matching skirts, wraps
and shirts so that you look fabulous and feel confident walking
around the beach as well!
• If you're
petite... a halter bikini with underwire, fixed or removable
padding or underbust band could be what you're looking for to
enhance your shape. BoyLeg pants can also be particularly
flattering. Try swimwear with strong patterns or detail and
contrasting colours.
• If you have an athletic build… a tankini or
bikini with BoyLeg or drawstring pants are surprisingly flattering
for narrow hips, as the extra fabric and styling will give your
hips more width while complementing your build.
• If you have a big bust… visit a specialist site
such as SwimHut.com to view the wide range of beautiful designs now
available for bigger busts DD+ providing support in a natural and
flattering way. Strong patterns and twisted halter tops blend extra
coverage naturally into styling. Soft ties at the back and neck are
essential to ensure precise fit and comfortable ties.
• If you're curvy or plus-size... go for a
one-piece or tankini with a deep V-neck to show off your cleavage
and emphasise body length. Some swimwear provides built-in tummy
control panels, swim skirts or dresses give extra leg coverage -
great hip hiders! SwimHut.com has some great swimwear in sizes 18
to 24, with fantastic matching cover-ups.
Men:
• If you're tall or athletic… you can pretty much
wear anything. Be brave and opt for bright colours that work
with your skin tone and help you stand out from the crowd.
• If you're short and athletic… you can look great
in shorter style swimshorts rather than boardshorts that can make
your legs look longer. Show off your abs with a low cut waist
band.
• If you're tall and thin… you should opt for
longer boardshorts, but make sure they are not overly baggy.
• If you're tall and broad… you will look great in
single coloured long shorts, but if you are the type who likes
patterned shorts, select small patterned designs that aren't too
colourful or fussy.
