Meet windsurfer Julian King
Allow me to
introduce myself, I am Julian King, an ex semi pro windsurfer and a
budding property developer. I'm 27 years old and have a burning
passion for the sport of windsurfing closely followed by surfing,
wakeboarding, snowboarding and skiing, basically anything on a
board or that involves water!
I spent many years
as a youth on the UKWA Formula Windsurf tour racing on many beach
fronts around the U.K and Northern Europe but Daymer Bay and
Polzeath is where you can find me most of the year round practicing
when I can get away from the office in Birmingham.
I spent 3 years
studying Real Estate Management at Oxford Brookes University where
I met Jay Ramage, another member of team Channel Charge team and
often joked about crossing the channel! It wasn't until we went on
a skiing trip in 08/09 to Verbier where we decided that we could
and would actually do it.
We then discussed
it for 12 months and invited Fergus Backhouse, Charlie Toogood and
Al Hill to join us and formed Channel Charge 2010. We are now fully
underway with our campaign raising money for Help for Heroes,
working out logistics, exercise and sorting out how best to make
the challenge happen. You can view our website

for more details and to make a donation.
